Went for Sunday Brunch. Servers go around with the food cart, you tell them what you want and they will give it to you. Variety of food selections. Restaurant was completely full.
As my friend paid for it, I don't know the price! It is a very unique experience and I would recommend to take friends and family who comes from out of town.

More expensive than other dim sum restaurants. Majority of the dishes were cold! Not recommend. Go to Richardson or Garland for much better selection and hot delicious dim sum.

The food was good. But the fact the indian server gentleman didn’t want to offer a refill. When he clearly saw me and my glass was empty. It just shows how lazy he is in serving customers. All he did was get the empty plates when we’re done.. I tip 2.00 dollars but really did not want to tip. Hired better workers that actual want to serve and not fooling around. He clearly saw my cup was empty.

im in the point in my life now where i dont solely base if a place is good or not based on 5 star reviews as i recently been in two 5 star review places that was disappointing.

inspite of the 3.9 star with some negative reviews, we still love this place and will 100% go back. the overlapping table covers didnt bother us at all

food was definitely amazing! minus 1 star for service cause it was our first time here and the cart lady was overwhelming me with questions, like, can we get seated and be comfortable first? good thing the other guy explained to us how they do it in there.

atmosphere is least of my concern but it is outdated but i can also see that theyre renovating

My husband and I took our mom for Mother's Day dinner on May 11, 2025.
While washing my hands after using the restroom, one of the waitresses with very curly hair came in, used the restroom, and left the restroom without washing her hands. Checking around inside the restroom, I don't see any signs reminding the workers to wash their hands before returning to work. I was so shocked, I finished washing my hands to go out and report to another waitress. The waitress who heard my reports stopped a man - I guess he is the restaurant Manager and reported to him. He asked me who I saw didn't wash their hands. I didn't see her at that moment I talked to him, but I saw her walk inside the restaurant around the kitchen and staff area.
My biggest concern and worry is: how many of the Pearl Restaurant staff, waiters, waitresses, kitchen helpers, or even chefs didn't care to wash their hands after using the restroom? Were the foods that we just ate clean? And many times we ate at The Pearl Restaurant before, too.
We didn't post our review, but the next day, we sent an email to customer service and would like to see how the Pear Restaurant Manager could let us know the ways the team will be improved. Unfortunately, none of the words responded to me after patiently waiting. So disappointed.

We all liked it. The food was good. The service could use some work. We are still confused on tje small plates & how the pricing works. We will be going back.

We really enjoyed our dinner tonight! The food was delicious, our waiter Zain was so friendly and attentive. Highly recommend. We got the shrimp dumplings and orange chicken. We will be back!

Oh boy… This place was interesting! We went inside at probably 7 PM for dinner and there was not a soul in there. Most people probably take that as a sign to not eat there, but not us! We have quite the indecisive bunch and were hungry so we said why not! That was a mistake. Turns out this place is mainly known for dim sum, which were mainly pork which we abstain from. So we ordered some chicken dishes. This was possibly some of the worst food I have had in my life. It like actually made me sick to my stomach and I called off work the next day 🤣 I am sure the dim sum is great, but wow everything else was BIZARRE! The chicken was clearly frozen, which can be fine tbh, but it was just not good at all. This cuisine is some of my favorite so I do not say this lightly, but I would stay away from this place till some serious changes are made. I do feel bad as this place seems like it is not a chain restaurant and is a local business, but it was just that unappetizing. Nobody in my group of 6 people enjoyed any dish they ate and one of those people will literally eat ANYTHING…

TLDR:
I do not recommend this place for any non dim sum dish. Can’t comment on dim sum as I did not try it. Tip for everyone: if a place is empty, there is probably a reason for it.

Thought we would give it a second chance. Stacking 30 plastic table coverings is tacky and makes drink glasses unstable. Food is cold. Dumplings have to be ripped from the pot liners. Taste is bland and/or odd non typical Asian flavors.

Tried dinning here, hosts stated no seats and we had to wait, waited for 45 mins yet no seats but ironically people who didn’t look like me got seated immediately upon arrival. We got the message that we were not welcome here and left. The host saw us leaving and didn’t even attempt to correct the impression or get us seated. Not a good place.

Their dim sum is terrible. Order 8 dim sum items and the only item consider ok is the shrimp dumplings.

Looked in and saw about 5 of 20 or so tables filled and thought let’s stop for a quick lunch. About 45 minutes after we ordered, we asked someone how much longer we should expect to wait on our food. Our lunches came with soup, but these did not show up to our table until after our entrees arrived. To their credit, the food was good just don’t expect it to be fast. On the debit side, my egg drop soup was lukewarm when it was delivered.
