This was my first time ordering from the store and it was a contaminated food. Few spoons into the food and I started having a running stomach , in less than two minutes I was in serious pain and i ran to the bathroom and started throwing up while popping uncontrollably and just like that I had diarrhea at this point I was already weak from throwing up and this was my first meal for the day. This is the worst experience I’ve had with any food I’ve ordered please you need to do better.

Had a taste for African food today. I have had takeout food from here several times & the food has been delicious. Today I was disappointed on the plate I normally get the plantains were so dry. I ended throwing them in the trash, the beef was tough I couldn’t cut it with a plastic knife & fork. I ended up throwing most of that in the trash. I really enjoyed the puff puff . It was so delicious. Customer service was excellent. I have never heard of puff puffs but they gave me some to try. I really appreciated that. Also, they let me sample different rices because I love spicy foods but not too spicy so they allowed me to try them. Thank you so much for the hospitality.

I ordered the jaloff rice and plantains. I was given chicken but it was dry and overcooked. The rice was good as well as the plantains. The lady that took my order was so sweet. I would come back if the chicken wouldn't be so overcooked. The flavor was on point though!! There was no seating area to wait on my food so I was told they would bring it out to my car.

literally 2 seconds walking in the door I couldn’t even get my sentence out and she interrupts me with the worst attitude saying she’ll bring it to my car not even knowing whose order it was and just shooed me out

I ordered this meal right before my four-hour flight from NYC, after a day packed with back-to-back meetings and no food. I had high expectations—I just wanted something good to eat. But who charges $19 for just a fish head? And on top of that, the pepper soup was completely tasteless. It ruined my appetite for anything else.

Great conversation and customer service! I think it’s cool that they still have take out only due to less mess they have to clean and I can enjoy my food in peace and eat in comfortability!

Restaurantji Recommends
First time trying this place and it was bad. The beef must’ve been very old before it was served, far from edible and the same for my daughter’s chicken just not as bad. It was as if the food had been kept for days and then served.
And also order ahead before going it’s not a sit in restaurant boxes are everywhere. We didn’t know this.

Let me preface this by saying my fiancé is Nigerian so I eat Nigerian food WEEKLY.
Anywho, I ordered the okra soup with beef and fish…$20 and i literally got a corner of okra soup…in a very shallow togo dish. I usually finish all my amala. Nope not in this case because there was not enough okra in the plate. Very disappointed, especially for the price point.
My friend ordered jollof rice and chicken which came in a different dish…that looked like it could’ve been worth something.
