We came for crawfish and they ran out right before we ordered, which was a bummer. The food we got instead was not bad. The etouffe is delicious if you don't mind it being served to you in a paper bowl. My husband got the gator with chips and was pretty disappointed with his choice. I know they're still pretty new. So they may still be working out some kinks. We will visit again and give them another shot.
We got fried green tomatoes, fried pickles, hush puppies, crawfish and boiled shrimp and they were all great. Especially liked the boiled shrimp and hush puppies.

We are in the process of moving from Wisconsin to Livingston,TX so we stopped in Grand Saline for the night and ate here. We were met by awesome staff and great patrons. We had a lot of laughs and great conversation. I had never had crawfish and a patron offered me one and even showed me how to shuck and eat it! What a great experience!

First time at Salt Licker's and it was very good. The fried pickle chips and the boudin burger were great! My wife had popcorn shrimp; she said they were very good. We'll go back and try some other items on the menu.

My wife and I have been to this restaurant a few times. The food is ok but nothing to get too excited about. I just want to state that the last 2 times we have stopped in it seems that our waitress has her kids or her friend that is visiting kids following her around running and jumping screaming like they are at the zoo. I’m assuming it must be the owners family to allow this to go on in a restaurant. Nothing against the kids but the parents should have a better handle on them as so they are not disturbing the guests. We more than likely will not go back here.
