“I'm a trucker and I broke down on Main St 2 days ago. Looks like I will be here for at least another day. Simply put, the people here in town are amazing. From the local police to the gentlemen who pulled me out of the street (at no charge), to the employees at Brookshire's who were very friendly and even let me shave and freshen up in their bathroom this morning. Super super super awesome people here. Made this North Carolina boy feel almost like he was at home. This is America done right.”

One lb meat plate was enough for 2 adults with drinks only $28, reasonable, and delicious with corn nuggets, fried okra and potato salad. Cute, quaint building inside & out. Walked right in, ordered at counter and son delivered food to our table. Lots of options! Well worth the drive, we will return!”
