“I generally don't eat at Italian restaurants because I'm Italian and most places don't compare to true Italian cooking. But we ate at Verona's for the first time with a large group of friends last weekend.
First of all, staff are amazing! 👏👏👏 They handled a group of 15 with separate checks like pros. The restaurant itself is also very pretty and homey. We felt comfortable there right away.
The food was average to good, but again, I'm going to be a tough critic here. I tried a friend's pasta. It was too overcooked for me and the sauce was a little heavy handed, but the person eating it loved it, so who am I to judge? My husband had the pizza which he said was pretty good, not great, but the best he's had so far in east Texas (he worked in NYC and CT for several years, so again, the bar has been set high!) I had the grilled chicken Caesar salad, which was very good. Dessert was the best part of the meal. Try the lemon cake. I'd eat here again just for that cake! The chocolate mousse cake looked amazing too. All in all, we really enjoyed our meal here. The place was clean, the food was tasty and well prepared, service was excellent. Anything else is just personal preference.”

“The waitress that waited our table was nice and friendly. She took our orders fairly quickly, but it seemed to take forever before the food got to the table. Again, the waitress was nice and kept our glasses filled while we were waiting. The fried Bologna sandwich was really good, and the other food orders were good as well. The prices were a little high for the area, but to be fair, there weren't many places available for a decent meal.”

“Shared space in a building with Valero on other side. It is a typical Sonic. Food was good, chicken was dry, mozzarella sticks spot on, tater tots good. Day manager very creative in her art work inside.”

“My husband took me to El Manna Mex-Tex restaurant in Emory, Tx on our 10th wedding anniversary. When we walked in it is so spacious, there are tables, booths and a bar area. We had the two beef enchilada platter OMG!!!! Everything was fresh We have found our new Mex-Tex restaurant for sure. The service was excellent so nice and friendly ( Shout out to Tony) attended to our every need even wished us a happy anniversary. This place I highly recommend they deserve more than 5 stars.”

“I'm a trucker and I broke down on Main St 2 days ago. Looks like I will be here for at least another day. Simply put, the people here in town are amazing. From the local police to the gentlemen who pulled me out of the street (at no charge), to the employees at Brookshire's who were very friendly and even let me shave and freshen up in their bathroom this morning. Super super super awesome people here. Made this North Carolina boy feel almost like he was at home. This is America done right.”
