Mi Dia From Scratch Reviews
McKenzie is such a great server! Very knowledgeable of the menu and drinks. Super sweet & just a joy to be around. Food is fantastic and cooked to perfection. Table side guacamole is a MUST!
We stopped in during happy hour and were pretty disappointed with the brisket—it was about 70% fat, extremely greasy (photo posted). That said, the staff was great and made it right, which we really appreciated. Service overall was friendly, though food delivery took longer than expected.
Like everything else, they blame it on inflation..food prices have doubled for much less food. 8 chicken nachos..EIGHT and Iced Tea. $22.00..and the meat they put on it is half of what is used to be. When inflation comes down, and it has, and will get lower under Trump...mark my words here...they will NOT adjust their prices. Great patio..best in Grapevine, but there is NEVER a server at the outdoor bar...never staffed. Overall this is a nice store but unfriendly management for...read full review

Mi Dia From Scratch offers delicious Mexican food in a pleasant atmosphere, with exceptional service. Popular dishes include flavorful flautas, enchiladas, and chimichangas. The bi color spicy salsa and fresh chips are highly recommended. The restaurant has a diverse menu and child-friendly options, though indoor high chairs are not available, only booster seats. It has an upscale feel, and the staff, like Bethany, are knowledgeable and friendly. The bar features a good collection of tequila and mezcal, along with interesting cocktails such as the El Guabanero with smoky mezcal, guava, and lemon air, which adds a spicy kick, and the Jalisco Express, recommended by the bartender for its spice and flavor. Service at the bar is excellent, and while prices are on the higher side, customers feel they get good value for their money. Many guests praise the place for its famous table side guacamole, considered the best, and say that every menu item they have tried has been delicious, made with fresh, quality ingredients that delight the taste buds. The place is so loved that customers have driven there multiple times during their trips, and plan to return. Recent reviews mention great margaritas, with a couple of margaritas that were excellent, and a love for the hatch chile queso and fajitas. The Baja shrimp tacos and tinga tacos, served with rice and black beans, are highly recommended, especially when paired with a good margarita like the El Jefe. The restaurant prides itself on using fresh ingredients in their scratch kitchen, making the food flavorful and beautifully presented. Despite being surprisingly busy for a Tuesday afternoon, the wait for a table for 10 was only about 15 minutes. The lively atmosphere features a mix of business, date nights, and friends sharing stories. The menu offers a large variety of choices, especially in the Santa Fe section that uses red and green chilis known for New Mexico cuisine. The Xmas Enchilada with brisket is also highly recommended.
