Luke's Reviews
My husband and I ate here yesterday for the first time. We ordered breakfast at noon. It was absolutely delicious. My meal was large enough that I was able to take home half of it. Luke’s in Greenville is a charming spot known for its delicious brunch offerings. The restaurant serves a variety of well-prepared dishes, including chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits, pancakes, fried chicken sandwich, biscuits with homemade jam, and the popular Short Rib Hash. The food is often described as chef-quality, with ingredients cooked just right and full of flavor. The biscuits are notably large, toasted perfectly, and paired well with jam, while the pancakes are thick, fluffy, and highly praised. The bacon stands out as thick-cut and high-quality, not overly greasy, and the eggs are cooked to perfection, including scrambled eggs that many find impressive. Portions are generous, often leaving leftovers, and the food is hearty and satisfying.
While the food receives high marks, service can be slow, with some reviews mentioning delays in getting attention, taking orders, and refills, even when the restaurant is not busy. The ambiance is described as cute with lots of seating, making it a pleasant place to enjoy a meal. Beverages like mimosas and bloody Marys are available, promising a good brunch experience. Overall, Luke’s is a hidden gem in downtown Greenville for those seeking flavorful, hearty brunch options in a cozy setting.
