Tokyo Express in Greenville

I enjoy going here. The food is always delicious, the steak Pho is especially yum. The servers are nice, but some of them tend to forget they have a table so you may sit for awhile waiting on service. There are a couple of girls there that will take your order and then not come back to your table but maybe once again, if that. I've sat for 15+ minutes waiting and looking around seeing if anyone would come help with refills and to go containers. And that was when it wasn't busy. There were maybe 4 tables with people at them, with 2 or 3 servers working, plus 2 to 3 girls behind the counter playing on their phones or talking to eachother. It's usually the younger girls that aren't attentive.
The food makes up for the occasional poor service.

Great little place with good variety. Pad Thai was absolutely delicious. My husband loved the pho that he got. Everyone was very nice and our server made awesome suggestions!

This experience was a masterclass in disappointment. The sushi was flawed in its execution, with a texture and flavor profile that felt entirely wrong for the palate. Even the boba missed the mark, arriving far too soft when it requires that signature firm bounce to be successful. Most concerning, however, was the immediate stomachache regret that followed the meal. To the kitchen: your quality control is clearly lacking and needs an immediate replanning. To potential diners.., save yourself the trouble and the stomachache by looking elsewhere.

If you're looking for Japanese food in Greenville, Texas, save your money and skip Tokyo Express on Wesley St. This was my second experience and it was a total letdown: the food was overly oily and greasy, the portions were slim for the price, and the vegetables were completely overcooked with a texture softer than baby food. For a local Greenville restaurant, the quality was bottom-tier and definitely not worth the stop if you're craving fresh hibachi or decent takeout in Hunt County. Side note $3.99 for a fountain drink is outrageous. Drive down I30 for anything else.

This place has to have the best egg rolls I've ever eaten. I loved egg rolls as a kid, but for some reason I haven't found any good ones as adult....until now! Scallops were perfectly cooked. I will be definitely order from here again.

Love the Nogiri sushi but $7 bucks for 2 small pieces is a little high in price.
Server was very knowledgeable and respectful help me try and find non rice sushi,
They have 2 Sashimi plates 10 piece chiefs choose was $30 and 18 piece was $50 bucks. Sad I was. So I orders a few Nigiri..

This is one of our favorite restaurants in town. We eat here often. The one thing they could improve on is putting more meat in the pho. We’re paying a nice buck for a meal and it’s very little meat 3/4 slices and lots of noodles. I would like to see a bit less noodles and more protein. Thank you!
