I had a very frustrating experience at this Dairy Queen today that had nothing to do with the food and everything to do with customer service.
I placed a mobile order for a Snow Drift, nachos, and a drink. The Snow Drift is still listed as available on the Dairy Queen website, which is why I ordered it. After waiting in line, I was abruptly told they “don’t carry that anymore” with no apology, explanation, or attempt to help. I wasn’t offered alternatives or recommendations—just told to pull forward.
When I asked to cancel the order, I was incorrectly told I had to do it myself through the app. When the app instructed me to call the store, I did—only to be given conflicting information again and told it had already been canceled, which made no sense given what I had just been told. The person I spoke to claimed to be the manager but clearly did not understand the cancellation process.
Later, the actual manager called me. Instead of listening to my experience, she immediately minimized it, interrupted me repeatedly, and talked over me while defending the employee. I was never allowed to fully explain what happened, despite being asked to do so.
Limited-time items being unavailable happens—that’s understandable. Being dismissive, providing incorrect information, and refusing to listen to a customer is not. With so many new food options available, I won’t be returning to this location, or any others operated by this general manager.

Service was horrible ordered a banana split the manager proceeded to make it. She proceeded to make it with an expired banana couldn’t even eat overly squishy and brown🤮. The ice cream and toppings nothing for what I should have paid for. Paid $6 for something that was not enjoyable really dissatisfied

The staff seems nice but they allow their kinfolks to come on up in here and have loud conversations across store. I might have not minded it but I was very tired with a headache and they weren't aware of their surroundings and how loud they are being. Please be mindful of your customers. I'd be much obliged. Thank you.

Stopped to grab a quick bite and get back on road, had to repeat order 3 times because they were getting it wrong, waited almost 20 mins in line to get food, fries were not cooked all the way. Chicken tenders were extremely small.

Just left drive thru for a banana split. Asked for no chocolate. $4.99+tax= rotten banana, few pineapple and strawberries topping, minimum ice cream, no spoon 🤦🏻♀️. Never again will I stop here. Next time I’ma wait for Yoakum DQ. Thankfully I didn’t order a meal. I Don’t not recommend.

Stopped in this location on my way back to Oklahoma! It was very clean inside for an older building. The employees were super friendly and the burger was better than any DQ burger I’ve had back in Oklahoma. If you’re passing through as well I recommend this location! Food and staff were both excellent!

Dairy Queen in Hallettsville, Texas, is a great stop to satisfy those hunger pains for couple or whole family .
Went to Hallettsville Dairy Queen last week and ordered two $7 meal deals. We were told the manager said no more $7 meal deals. I pointed to the large sign out front which said $7 meal deals. We were told they hadn’t had time to change the sign.
Today we went for the free cones. We were told we had to purchase something to get a free cone. Once again the sign out side says free cones. We left and will never go back.

Today we stopped at the same Hallettsville Dairy Queen and asked for 2 free cones. (Which is advertised on the sign out front) . We were told we had to purchase something to get a free cone. We walked out. Will never go back.

Who serves steak fingers with ranch,, what happened to the gravy!!! Fries tasted old or like they weren’t even cooked all the way… definitely gotta do better

When you hear a black woman in the back, keeping everyone laughing and busy and you keep hearing the phrase "mah grankids" you know the food is made with love and happiness. I turned down the free treat with my tacos and she gave me another taco instead. When somebody wants to 'treat' you, you better let em! Love this place!
