“Currently sitting down at the restaurant and had to take a break from eating because WOW!! The portions are huge, food is too delicious for you not to finish. Totally recommend, the agua fresca/ lemonade is really good too! Everything was 10/10. Wish they had one close to home.”
“Food TASTES FANTASTIC. Prices Are To High. Workers are Pretty Friendly. If you don't mind paying to much, Then I Strongly Recommend. Chicken Tenders and Hamburgers ARE AMAZING !!!!!!”
“Love the peaceful atmosphere ,loved petting & holding sweet pigs,so relaxing to set by the pond &wait for the fish to jump or swim by, the deer roam around every where so tame &calm they don't run away they let you watch them in there beautiful natural habitats really amazing ,Best place to visit or live, I know cause I live here & love it so much,”
“This my favorite restaurant in Hallettsville! Their food is more authentic Mexican food rather than Tex-Mex. They haven't ever disappointed. Love their breakfast menu too. Their waiters are friendly and the restaurant feels family owned with it's plants and trinkets in the entrance. Highly recommend this place.”
“Great atmosphere and great service! Management and staff are great people! Nice outside area with a pool table and corn hole, some weekend's they have a DJ!”
“I've been coming to this taco stand for years. My favorite taco is the combo. This is the best place in south Texas to get a taco hands down. I go so often that the woman that waits on me just has to see my car to know my order.”
“First time trying this restaurant. The food was excellent. Love being able to order online and pick up in the drive-thru. Very convenient. Can't wait to return and try other menu items.”
“Had a great Turkey & dressing lunch in a fun greatly decorated Restaurant & the owners were so nice ??Kid-friendliness: Great play area for the little ones”
“Margaret is very sweet and down to earth. I love the vintage feel of the bar. It's a downhome atmosphere. The only thing I wish is that they would put darts back in there and one more pool table.”
“We had a great family lunch here. Everyone enjoyed it! The lady at the counter may be the sweetest person in the world. Also the sugar cookies we took home are to die for. We will be back for sure!”
“One of the true local favorites, has wonderful brisket and ribs but my favorite is the smoked pork steak. The owner knows how to honor the meat! Try their smoked dried mini links, one of the best I've ever had! There's a reason they had made Texas monthly's top 50!”
“I really like Cabos. The food is great and not expensive. The service is always awesome and the drinks are super good. I would recommend them to everyone.Parking: There is parking in front, on the side, and in back of restaurant. There is also handicapped parking.”
“A regular told me the burgers were supposed to be very good here, so that was my plan. On previous occasions I have had the tacos and enchiladas, and both were very good. Good queso and tasty hot sauce, also. This trip I ordered the cheeseburger(add jalapeños) and fries. I was not disappointed! Meat was hot, cheese melted, and the fries were crispy and fresh from the fryer. Jalapeños added just the right zip to the burger. I'd definitely go back for any of the menu items, but the burger will be at the top of my list. Sweet tea was spot on, too! Give it a try!”
“Best pobano chili reano i ever had. To bad they are 900 miles from me. I had tried this dish at hundreds of resturants. They nailed it so well i called my sister from Austin to join me for a meal the next day. WOW !!! Warm Chips and outstanding salsa. Very Very large portions. Thanks guys. See you again if I pass by next year. Greg K , New Orleans. (Where there is no shortage of great food to compare yours against. You guys are Top notch)”
“The place is ok looking, service is but the FOOD IS OUTSTANDING! I had the salmon and my daughter had the shrimp fried rice! Everything was delicious ?! Did need the salmon cooked longer but the flavor was amazing, even the veggies!”
“I was driving through town around lunchtime, and the Subway sign caught my eye. This place is actually two restaurants under one roof. It is a combo Deluca Pizza and Subway. I came for a Subway and cannot comment on the Deluca Pizza half.Parking in front is limited. The one space left was a tight squeeze for my medium-sized SUV. Interestingly, even at lunchtime when I arrived, and the small parking lot full, there were few people inside.Everything I saw looked very clean and orderly.I was not greeted by either business as I entered. I went to the Subway counter and had a short wait for my turn. The young man who took my order was not overly friendly or engaging, but he was efficient, made my sandwich well as I ordered it. When I requested a couple of additional napkins, he obliged. My sandwich was delicious, as expected. I enjoyed it at a nice picnic spot a ways down the highway.I was happy with my visit. It would have been nice to have been greeted as I entered. It had kind of an assembly line feel, no connect with customers. Perhaps that changes if you live there and they recognize you as a returning customer. But the product was great and the service was functional.Parking: There is limited parking in front. but there is some street parking nearby if needed during peak hours.”
“Food was good but the drink machine was out of diet soda and some woman behind the counter was yelling and cussing like a sailor. (Sorry sailors). Not very professional.”
“Small venue, but friendly service and great specialty drinks! I popped after beginning a road trip north towards DFW from Victoria, and the drive-thru already had three cars in it (and a young man taking orders by hand in line), so I parked in front of the building. I was acknowledged immediately, and was asked for patience as they met the drive-thru needs. After that rush, the owner and the young girl behind the counter engaged in conversation with me as I asked them about their shop: good to know that this is the only place with real coffee drinks on the stretch of road between Victoria and La Grange: the owner said she even has folks come from as far away as Shiner & Cuero.I ordered some brown sugar latte drink, and it was very good; I also got an everything bagel with melted pepperjack cheese and turkey, also tasty.I don’t get down to Victoria often, but I’ll make sure I hit this place on the way down, or on the way back up to DFW. Well worth the stop.Parking: A couple of spots in front of the building, not sure if you can park in the street in front. There is a drive-through, though.”
