“Wonderful Steakhouse! I’m here traveling for work and was amazed at the quality of the staff and the cuisine. The fried mushrooms are out of this world. 10/10 highly ”
“At Red Vault Bistro a chef, professionally trained in Switzerland, delivers world class cuisine at a 3rd world price. Our tastebuds were taken on a ride through flavor-town. As I bit into my turkey sandwich, I found myself blurring the lines between reality and fantasy. The turkey and gouda unite on a perfectly toasted ciabatta bun. A combination that sent us into a state of ecstasy. Our server Elizebeth curated an atmosphere where our party felt right at home. Her charming demeanor and divine wisdom is something we will never forget. We shall return every year to feast at The Red Vault Bistro!Thank you,Texas Independence RelayTeam#47 “Laces Out Freaks””
“Excellent menu and friendly staff. They have a drivethru if you prefer to pick up to go orders. Dine-in is cozy because the place has that small town charm. highest recommendation.”
“We were visiting the Shiner area and decided to check out the locally owned establishments and where the locals eat.Luckily, it was a late lunch. So, there were some open parking spots in the parking lot. We had our choice of tables to sit at and were promptly greeted for our drink order and provided menus, utensils and chips, and salsa.Tip: If you like spicier salsa, ask for it as they have two other kinds. The four (4) of us decided to split our plates, so we ordered 2 plates of Mary's Plate - which is a Tosada, crispy taco, enchilada, rice, and beans. We did order some tortillas (they are homemade and fresh - yum), and one in our party ordered a Carne Guisada taco - they remarked it was very good and meat was lean. All of the food was good, the service was fantastic and the staff was very attentive.I hope, if you stop by, your experience is as good as ours”
“Charming dinner, the staff are super hospitable and the food was delicious. Really enjoyed learning the history of the building which has been so lovingly restored. Be sure to check out the boutique.”
“Absolutely a great place to eat. Awesome customer service & I mean fricking awesome. Food was amazing, so good. I can't say enough good things. Go there to eat! Yummy ?”
“We went here for breakfast and coffee but there was no food, so we didn't have coffee because we were hungry. I was tempted to remove a star but they made up for the no food with friendliness and atmosphere. We did hang for a bit because it was so cool. I did buy a T-shirt. The pictures won't really show it but they are way into Sasquatches here. Well, that and all things Shiner. Upshot: A groovy, unique, old school coffee house - reminiscent of the days before Starbucks ruined the unique coffee house scene in exchange for conformity and expectedness. We'll be back for a cup of Joe and some more friendly conversation when time allows. It smelled great in here!”
“Their brisket sandwich was great and their beer always amazing. Tried the distillery, really good. Service outstanding, and always ambiance like being in your upscale back yard.”
“The guy was right: Best thin-crust pizza I've ever had. Look at it. Seriously, if you're driving by and want to have something decently healthy meal, it's a surprisingly good option. They cut it into squares.”
“They had stopped making pizza so didnt get to try it.. but they opened the store for us so kids could e joy the ice cream.. would love to come back and try the pizza sometime.”
“I am so happy the original owners are back! We tried their hamburgers the other day for lunch and they were FANTASTIC! They are thick and juicy - we tried the sourdough bun and the jalapeño sourdough bun and both were very good. The french fries that come with it were seasoned very well. It is a really good lunch!”
“Soooo - I saw good things on Yelp for this restaurant, and it was around 1/2 way between San Antonio and Houston, which was the perfect location to meet family for lunch. When we arrived, it was St. Patrick's Day / Sunday at noon. The place was packed. The only tables were in the corner - which was fine. We waited for someone to seat us, but they never came - so we sat ourselves. We waited for about 10 mins for someone to come and get our drink order, bring chips and give us a menu. We decided on the best enchiladas verdes in honor of the day, a steak fajita salad, and an order of cheese enchiladas. We waited about 10 minutes for our server to come with our drinks (tea all around) and to take our orders. Then... we waited about 20 minutes for our food. Are you catching a theme here? The service is sub-par at best... BUT - the food was decent overall. Steak on the salad was a bit leathery, but the enchiladas were a hit. The salsa was really tasty, and the tomatillo sauce was fair at best. I'd go back, but I'd go only knowing that I need a lot of time... and that I need to order the food enchiladas.”
“This was the first time we saw this place we went in the place was clean the restrooms were also clean I feel that's important in RR business the food was hot favorable my wife loved her sandwich she didn't share like she usually does staff was great we will visit again hopefully the experience will be the same great job”
“Discovered Joel’s on the way to Houston. Lean brisket sandwich was tasty and my wife enjoyed the sausage wrap. We timed our return trip to have lunch there again and bought brisket and sausage to take home to share with the rest of our family. Definitely worth your business as Joel knows how to cook BBQ.”
“The owner of this Dairy Queen makes sure the kitchen , dinning room area and restrooms, stays clean food is excellent, friendly service, great team effort if you watch the employees.”
“What do you people expect from McDonald's.1. Been here countless times for we own property close by.2. Every experience good to great.3. It gets busy because it's the midpoint between SA and HoustonThey will take care of you.”
