“Pretty close to a home cooked meal, was recommended by one of the locals. Hamburger steak was great. Fried chicken looked good but passed. Fried shrimp and fish are pre packed (daughter liked it). Assortment of cooked veggies all looked good, Im a green bean eater and they were excellent. Salad bar has all the sides you can ask for. Daughter (picky eater) filled her plate and ate it all.
Will return if we pass thru Shiner again during their hours.”

“Shiner Icehouse is under new ownership, and the place is very enjoyable to visit. Cold beer, friendly people, and a fun little hole-in-the-wall bar atmosphere.

If you're looking for a place to get away from the crowds and the noise of the brewery, this is the place to go.”

“The food is great. The tacos are great. Grilled perfect. 100% recommend. I know a mom made my meal. I got the Carne Asada (beef), Carnitas (pork), and Al Pastor. ✅✅✅ This place is CASH ONLY. Each Taco was $3.50/ea. Seating is very limited, 3 small tables, so great for take out. Next time I wanna try the Tacos Dorados de Papa (crispy potato tacos)”

“We loved Rosie’s! This is a country gem! They are open from 9am to 9pm on the Second Saturday of each month .

There is a small local market outside and inside with craft items, antiques, and food (jams, baked goods, farm fresh eggs!). BRING CASH! Most vendors preferred cash.

The restaurant itself inside was beautiful and the patio was very nice with new picnic tables, lounge chairs and nice patio furniture.

The food is ordered and picked up at the counter and the prices were very reasonable for great quality food. There is no specific children’s menu but many kid-friendly items like grilled cheese, Mac n cheese, hamburgers, and sweet potato fries.

The pesto chicken salad on a croissant was delicious! Everything is a generous portion size.

And the sweet tea was the perfect southern beverage. Unsweet tea was available as well.

The kids loved the small “play area” on side that was enclosed with a fence (no gate, just an opening to enter and exit). It had a nice wooden seesaw. They are looking for a playground donation if anyone has one they want to part with!

We visited on a cool day in March and the weather made the outside area perfect even without much shade since the trees were bare. It will have great shade in the summer when the trees are full! And added bonus was that there were pecans all over the ground my children used as appetizers.

“Pizza was good. Although first time we went to the one in Yoakum we ordered a Meatzza large in a pan crust. Maybe that's not what we got but that's what we ordered. Went back 3 weeks later we ordered a Extravaganza pizza, large pan crust and was told we couldn't get a pan crust in a large!!! But wasn't told that 3 weeks ago. Communication people!!!! But maybe you should think about making the pan crust in a large too. The girl behind the counter kept saying we must of ordered the large pan at Pizza Hut! We may be old but we know the difference between Pizza Hut and Domino's! We haven't eaten at Pizza Hut in 10 yrs. Other than that everything was great! Great pizza!”

“I came here on a whim about a month ago. Best Burger I've had in years. It came out so hot and fresh. I'm normally very picky when it comes to French Fries 🍟 . I ate everything that was on the plate. Fries were outstanding, Burger was outstanding. I will be back tomorrow so my dad can see just how good it is. Whataburger should take a page out of Navys book, because I haven't had a warm burger from Whataburger in about 7 years. Navy's really knows how to rock the house. I could not recommend this place enough.”
