Have been going to Kountry Bakery in Hallettsville since I was a kid. Food is always delicious and service is typically good. This morning we went in and the girl helping us was obviously frustrated (scowl, unfriendly). My husband asked her what was wrong/if she was ok. She said "there are too many people". When paying she again told a coworker there were too many people. Her coworker said she liked customers...customers meant a paycheck.. It also means tips which, in my opinion, still have to be earned.

Got a chicken salad sandwich on a croissant. I just want to say that Eric is great! He always gets my order correct and is efficient with getting it to me. I am happy when I walk in the door and see he is there.

LOVED this little Restaurant! We just stumbled upon it. There were a bunch of cars in the parking lot, we were hungry and took a chance. People were VERY sweet, food was delicious, very clean. We had the country fried steak, it was awesome!

Love the food and have come here every time I come into town for work. Unfortunately last time, the blonde lady that worked there was incredibly rude to me from the start. Had some issues, could've been my fault but she was just rude about the whole thing. Everyone else is lovely. Just not her.
