My favorite bar in Vienna! Even though it's the only bar it's still my favorite :-). Margaret and Tammy are fantastic, family friendly place!

This a good quiet country town bar to go to if you are looking for couple cold ones, cheap pool and good hospitality

Margaret is very sweet and down to earth. I love the vintage feel of the bar. It's a downhome atmosphere. The only thing I wish is that they would put darts back in there and one more pool table.

The Lazy-J-Bar is a Lavaca County icon. For decades, it's been the signature "Place to Meet" for folks unfamiliar with the Greater Vienna-Area Metroplex . In other words, just about everyone. (Last I checked, the Vienna Trading Post was still closed.) The Lazy J, however, has endured. And that is a wonderful thing. Throughout his career, legendary Texas author, folklorist and newspaper columnist Leon Hale made random stops at the Lazy J. On such occasions he spend hours shooting the breeze with the locals and swapping tall tales. (Not coincidentally, he always returned home with a trove of priceless story material.) Ever watched the old sci-fi series,"Sliders?" Throughout the course of each and every year, The Lazy J exists in three distinct dimensions: 1) Before deer season 2) Deer season 3) After deer season Looking to find a quiet, secluded escape from the hellish pace of the urban rat-race? In desperate need of a hideout of sorts, a little-known but friendly sanctuary where, just for a while, you can take a deep breath for some pure country "down time?" Maybe even stay long enough to share an ice-cold beer with a newly-made friend? Sit down at an outside picnic table, where the surrounding live oaks are always generous with their shade, and take in a few tunes from the jukebox? Then trust me on this one. Unless you are a deer hunter, I strongly suggest Dimension Number 3. And BTW, it's pronounced "Vy-Anna." Saying it right will earn you some immediate points.
