My wife and I LOVE their food! Not only is it delicious, take-out orders are generous! We order vegetarian options. Veggies-Tofu-Noodles … all perfectly prepared! Our favorite Chinese food in the entire Valley!

Our first experience here. It's okay. Good variety. Many American selections too. Salads and desserts. I agree with previous comments that the food wasn't really kept warm enough. Thrilled to see cold boiled shrimp but it wasn't deveined so I couldn't eat it. Good egg rolls but I looked twice and couldn't find any sauces except sweet and sour. I should have asked a waitress. I saw sauce packets at the cash register for people picking up carry out. Fair price with Senior discount.

Harlingen does not have the best of Chinese food. This place is mediocre at best. A plus is, Its either an all you can eat or order off the menu. I've traveled the country from Maine to Seattle, from California to Florida, so I'd like to think I know what good Chinese food is, and this ain't it. I'm trying to be nice, but it was my first and last time here.

I usually stop by the local buffet places when I travel and this place is decent. Food needs to be kept warmer and need more flavor. They do have steamed pork bun which I never find in other buffet places.

there was MOLD in the lettuce and vegetables in the fried rice, i barley noticed till i looked closer. it is not pepper or any other seasonings because it does not come off and is imbedded into the vegetables. the service was slow the ice tea, smelled like clorox i had to return it. they used water from the faucet. I asked for a bottle of water and i was almost finish eating when the water was brought to the table. the place had one person, and the place was full of people that it took for ever to get service.

I really like this restaurant. They have a great Chinese lunch buffet. I've been going there about once a week since I moved here 9 months ago.

Wow! The buffet, ordering a plate, sushi, try it all! It is absolutely fantastic. We stumbled upon this place by accident. We are new to the valley and live near SPI. So happy with China Star's flavors, sauces, sushi, portions and the meats are tender every time. We just love this place.
