El Pato Mexican Food

I wish we had one of these up near us in DFW area, since this is the best tasting fast food Mexican I've ever had.
The guisado was hot and tender, with a nice brown gravy with a homemade taste.
Service was prompt and friendly and the prices on everything are very reasonable.
The street taco combo plates were super good and authentic with tender beef and all the proper sides offered like cilantro chopped onions and lime slices.
I'll certainly be back next time we're in the valley!

Always giving me the wrong order. I order for pick up but when I get home my order is most of the time wrong. They do charge u for all those extras. So I just stopped going there what a shame!!!

Wow I usually don’t complain. But c’mon I got served a child’s plate with child’s servings after paying $12 What a laugh. Service sucks. Food sucks. I take the drive to the Weslaco location and always satisfied. Drive through, dine in, or take out disappointment!

They always forget something when you order through the drive thru. Double check your order because it seems they always forget to put in tortillas that go with order.

They can’t seem to EVER get our order correct, it’s hard to understand what’s so hard about making chorizo and egg when we ask for chorizo and egg. I probably would’ve ate it but the eggs were overcooked and the bacon look unhealthy.

Not what it used to be but passes. Affordable prices compared to other Mexican restaurants

I have been coming to this El Pato since forever growing up and my kids have always loved it as well but lately they have really been slacking (in their Customer Service especially!) Today I went by and tried ordering their Wednesday Special of the Tacos Mexicanos which consists of bistec in them, I simply requested that they put the meat on the side and not in the tacos and they said they could not do that. When I asked the Manager (an older male) he rudely said No they couldn't do it and what would be the purpose. I explained to him how we do not eat meat and would just simply want the meat on the side. Not substituted or anything extra just on the side. They refused. I chose to come down the Street to Tejano Grill and feel much better here even if I did have to pay double of what I would have paid at ElPato.

I really hope the Owner sees this. I had to find another place to eat. I don't know what manager is on shift right now but today around 1:00 pm I just had to leave this place. Reason being, I was going to order the Wednesday special, I asked for them to simply place the meat on the side. I was then questioned by the manager what was my reason for this, I told them I just wanted the meat on the side. I'm not really sure what the issue was I'm still paying for it. I wasn't paying for anything extra or asking for extra. Is the customer not right? Was I being judged? Do they measure the portions? Why was this so difficult? Should I come back to this place? I'm in shock and left with so many questions...

El Pato did a fantastic job for us. We placed a large order about 40 hours before an event and they had the order ready on time. As always the food was delicious.

This is our goto spot for Carne Guisada and all day breakfast.

Nothing negative to say, just a heads up manager...chairs are sticky need to be cleaned. My shirt sticks to chair...

I ordered a Beef pato with refried beans and potatoes. I got a tiny tortilla, a smudge of beans, a few chunks of beef and a few more potatoes. We are not getting our money's worth.😒
