Poor service. The male staff are all jerks and very rude instead of working, they stare at all the women coming in. Food and service is BAD. The male bartender with tattoos all over his arms is the rudest. They ignore when you call them over. While they flirt with the drunk women. Talked to the main manager about how we were treated and he just gave us a blank i dont care stare. Never again.. the food is not good. The drinks are watered down. Not worth spending money here.

I’m don’t normally care for Mexican food that much. But this restaurant was highly recommended so decided to give it a try. I will be coming back. I had the fluffy tacos and soooo delicious. Servers were awesome. I will be back to try other dishes. Our waitress Elvia was awesome!!

The service was good overall. The food is not worth the price and my drinks tasted like dish soap even when I had switched it a couple times. That said, the cleanliness of the place makes me think twice of eating the food here.

Overrated.Rice and beans were cold.Food lacked flavor.Not sure how they are Ch. 4 news top performers.There are plenty of much better places in the RGV.Hotdogs at Circle K are better. I would not recommend La Playa Mexican Cafe.
