I have always heard good things about this place. It always looks packed. However, this being my first time going there, I can see why it always looks packed. There’s almost nowhere to park. The sweet bread was good. I was a little bit, disappointed with the wait time, even though I had ordered hours ahead.
Overall, I can see why people really like this bakery and I hope to come back at sometime. Maybe it was just the morning rush.

If you are looking for fresh baked and authentic Mexican and American pastries, this is the place. One of the Laras men told me the Laras were brought from Spain to settle Monterrey as the new town's bakers more than 400 years ago, and these are the descendants of those bakers. 😎
