Heading back from South Padre we decided to give this place a shot. It's a simple restaurant with a small menu. The food was amazing! I ordered chilaquiles and a picadillo with cheese taco on the side. When the food came out, WOW! The taco was huge! It was at least 12 inches long and nice and full. The chilaquiles and picadillo was so good. I highly recommend giving this place a shot for breakfast.
Good food. I had a beef and veggie soup. Broth was delicious. Meat was a bit fatty. Veggies were good, huge chunks. Flour tortilla was good. Spanish rice served on the side was delicious. Fast, friendly service.
We went to the Country Vet very early Saturday morning. I left to get breakfast while my wife and dog stayed behind to hold our place in line. The coincidence store offerings looked horrible, did it eggs and ingredients that had been out a long time. Las Compadres is the closest restaurant. We had egg, potato, and bacon breakfast burritos. The were got and fresh and wonderful. I will make a trip back to try their other offerings.
