The homemade chips can be a little hard to eat but their salsa is TO DIE FOR! I've loved their salsa for years! The beef fajitas are so tender and tasty. My husband gets the roasted half chicken and loves it. The service is great too. We go 1 or 2 times a week.
I have called a couple of times for pick up and they have not been friendly over the phone. Once it was a male and another time a woman. The food is great and typically very clean, but the service can be a turn off.
Avoid the new $15 Tacos de Fajitas plate. It’s a disappointment. The flour tortillas are miniature, plus there’s not even a decent amount of fajitas in each tortilla. Is it a child’s plate? Did they run out of fajitas by 12:15 pm? Los Asados has always been the Mexican restaurant we eat at when visiting Harlingen but it’s time to try a new restaurant.
