Breakfast was decent, service friendly, but it was a little uncomfortably warm inside. And there is not a lot of space. I have heard that their bakery items are very good.

During a day trip to Harlingen we stopped in this little restaurant for breakfast. It doesn't have a very extensive menu, but the upside is a super friendly staff and great food! Seems to be a family business, very informal. We requested a business card which referred to the place as the Pastry House. And yes, they do have a case full of great-looking pastries... plenty of cupcakes and regular sized cakes. On Google Maps it shows up as the City Coffee Shop, which has only two reviews on TripAdvisor. TripAdvisor does not list Pastry House at all, so the name may have changed just recently. We encourage you to stop in, enjoy a meal, and grab a cupcake or two.

If you want Authentic, Delicious food. The Sweet Tea Cold perfectly iceed & sweet. The Coffee Black and Hot, it wonderful.
