Small town gathering place. We have eaten here often. The staff are small town friendly. I very much enjoy their grilled biscuits with gravy. I really like the flavor of their salsa dip for the chips. It is unique and filling. Their chicken fried steak is better than I'm able to do, and their catfish is yummy.
They have two extra dining areas, set on opposite ends of the primary seating space for larger groups.
Kid-friendliness: This is a family oriented dinner. They have both high chairs and double-sided booster seats.

The first thing that I noticed was the amazing staff. They were all so nice and accommodating. Once the food came, it was wonderful and it was a nice relaxing place to just enjoy a meal and the company of a good friend. It is definitely a "must stop by" place when you are close.
The Ladies are all so friendly and their service is great! Biscuits and gravy are always so good along with the eggs of your choice at breakfast time. We love their burgers and fries, but their Homestyle Cooking along with their dinner rolls are delicious! Chicken Fried Chicken, Steak, Meatloaf, Catfish all cooked the Southern Way!
Great little restaurant. The kids that are working seem like an awesome group of kids and they're doing a good job. The food was top-notch and the money was right on the mark. Don't pass this place up if you find yourself hungry in Hawkins.
Parking: They've got overnight parking for big rigs.
