Gonna give it 4*s but to be honest haven't really had much Texas bbq. Been trying to explore more but as A truck driver I really haven't had the chance just yet. Did it seem good and at A decent price? Yes. But then again like I said haven't really tried all that much. Hope this helps. God bless. Family first.

Nobody in line for over 6 minutes. So why is the brisket sitting out at the end of the counter un wrapped and not in the hotbox?? Jalapeño sausage was good. 4/10 The cheese rice casserole also not bad 3/10. Nice portions. Brisket was chewy and extra bland 2/10. I only have eaten 16% of the plate. (Mostly the sausage)The mac+cheese seemed like it was out of a plastic bag and microwaved 1/10.Give it a shot don't try it off my comment. I'm starting to feel a little ill as I write this as well I might add. Overall 2/10.

The smell of Brisket smacks you in the face as soon as you walk in the truck stop!!! Absolutely one of the best B.B.Q. I have ever had. It was a bit late, but the gentleman and the young ladie behind the counter were very nice and professional.

This place is a must experience. We were just passing by and stopped for potty break and snacks. We decided to try the pulled pork sandwich and the 5 rack of beef ribs with sides. Simply delicious, we ended up getting a full meal for each of our 3 boys and ate there. Then we got a few more to go!! Best smoked bbq house ever!! The staff is super friendly and it's very well maintained and managed. The best gas store we have been at and we road trip a lot. They also have a Cinnabon! And we got a box and a couple of other goodies. Super excited they had this in there too.Seriously, if you're around stop by and have some amazing smoked bbq and delicious sides with great service.

Normally I don't think highly of places that are inside gas stations for food other than to say it's something edible. This place that makes most everything from scratch excels by Leaps and Bounds in comparison to most anything he find a gas stations. On top of that, I'd actually be willing to say it's some of the better barbecue I've had in the long while. The brisket was amazing and the sausage had just enough flavor for the regular sausage and spiciness that it wasn't bland in my opinion like it sometimes is when you get regular instead of spicy. There was no gravy for the mashed potatoes but they were pretty damn good without it. By the way, they have beef ribs y'all! That's a hard one to find! Pleasantly surprised and glad I stopped.

Phenomenal, tender, flavorful… simply amazing food! Definitely the best American BBQ ever !!!! It was so good I didn’t have a chance to take good pictures before it was devoured!!

"Best" does not quite describe this filthy restaurant. All garbage bins were overflowing. Food was barely edible with extremely fatty brisket. Out of all bread, buns, and cups. On a Thursday afternoon...! Employees were nice just ineffective.

My wife and I stopped in for a quick lunch yesterday. The store front is cute. The restaurant was clean. The food is served cafeteria style and the people were friendly. Both of us had a chopped beef sandwich. The meat was lean and tender. Our sandwiches came on jumbo buns with a SMALL portion of meat in the center of the bun. My wife took the top half of the bun off and moved the meat to one side then folded the bun over, ie a half of sandwich. There were no condiments like onion, pickles, etc. The sandwich was $7.50 which would be a reasonable price for a nice sandwich. The fuel pumps out front were $.36 per gallon more than a station about ten minutes west. Lunch was not a bad experience but not a good experience either. Doubt that we will stop again.

Stopped in on our way to Dallas this morning. The food was amazing, the customer service was good too! They have a fly problem which they may not be able to get a handle on, however most of the food was covered except the cheese, bacon, and 1 or two more were not covered when we stepped up to the counter. The flies were thick and there was definitely a need to keep the food covered. After our food was made, the containers opened to prep our food were left open. I presumed it was just to move us through to check out faster, however after we paid, the person walked to the back (employee area) and left the containers uncovered. Like I said, the food was very good, but I am hesitant to go back if there is no attempt to keep the flies out of the food.

I have been stopping here when I pass through to get food for the past year. Today I stopped in and walked over to the counter to look at the menu at 1040am. There was a woman sitting at a table writing on a chalk board, she looked at me and said "Guys it's going to be 10-15 mins, you can stand there if you want to but we aren't ready!" Her tone was very hateful and rude. I immediately walked away, reported her to the cashier and left. She just lost my business and I'll be sure to share my experience with others. There was no call for the way she talked to me.

Ridiculous prices! Has been a while since last time I stopped here, I'm a fan of BBQ, as truck drivers we don't have many options to choose from but I'll take BBQ over fast food almost anytime, with the exception of this place, I refuse to support these kind of abuse. They even have the monitors turned off, I'm guessing they can't control the prices shown there, so they have this colorful sign at the counter.

I enjoy barbecue as much as anyone but this place was such a disappointment. Got a two meat plate with pulled pork and brisket.($18) Pulled pork was ok but the brisket was 90 percent fat. I know times are hard for restaurants but this is no way to treat your customers. We are struggling too! Best I could suggest is if the word “Best” is in the title, keep going.

Pretty good little BBQ spot. Great compared to anything I'd expect in a travel center. Brisket, ribs, chicken, sausage, cobbler, cornbread, rolls.. you name it.The variety is definitely the best feature. The quality is not bad but nothing to write home about, occasionally you get real fatty pieces but its always made up by the portion sizes. You'll have plenty of meat. This would have gotten 4 stars but the price is...eeeh.. About 30% too high for the quality and lack of service. The travel center splits people to work multiple restaurants so the workers are always rushed and it makes you rushed. The workers are pretty nice actually and try to seem welcoming but you can't help notice the uncomfortable pressure trying to hurry you up. Poor management. There is no table service, no dishes to do, and just fair BBQ yet the price tries to pretend it isn't just fast food made with cheap cuts of meat.Last, though the travel center is open 24 hours -- none of the restaurants are. They advertise all them being 24 hours and that's not true. I'm sure they miss enough orders to pay for a night shift but they just prefer throwing money away idk why

Amazing travel stop! Extremely nice, extremely clean, very polite and helpful staff. Nicest bathrooms and 2 showers. I've never seen a Pilot truck stop / Shell station so nice. BBQ place, Steak and Shake, incredible gift shop all attached.
