The food was great! The young man who helped us was very nice & we talked about Laos and where his family was from. Food was fresh and we literally gobbled it up it was so good ? I will definitely be going again.

Delicious meals (orange chicken & drunken noodles). As first timers, we each received a free egg roll. Generous portions and extensive menu. Friendly staff.

We found y’all while picking up a load today. It’s rare to find food this delicious that has truck parking as well. Pork belly with fried rice and crab wontons for me, loaded fries and shrimp eggrolls for my husband. There’s so much food we have enough for another meal. Thank you for being here for truckers and for filling iur bellies. ☺️ — feeling excited with Chris Barnes at A Taste of Laos.

The food is ALWAYS so good and fresh. You can just taste the love that goes into this food and the customer service is outta this world. You will definitely get full and still have left overs.

I eat here once a week, best Asian food in Waco hands down. The staff are super sweet. No long wait and the food is so yummy.

Don’t let the location deter you from trying this place out. Everything is absolutely delicious! I highly recommend the fried pork belly and crab rangoons. I’ve tried several things off the menu and haven’t been disappointed yet! Portions are very generous and the food is definitely worth the price.

I am typically not a fan of truckstop restaurants, but this is a noted exception to that rule. The food was excellent. The noodles were homemade, the vegetables were fresh, the tofu was fried perfectly, and the portion was very generous. In addition, the server was very friendly and helpful. Overall, one of the better Asian restaurants in Waco area.

It's already hard to find some authentic asian food around this area. In addition, Laos food is extremely rare. Taste of Laos food is great. I like their papaya salad with fresh vegetables and the taste is nice. Their ribs and Lao style fried rice are also great. Recommend and for sure I will be back to try other dishes. Thank you

I ordered pho and that was kind of bland. But the guy at the cashier was good server.

Bland food and horrible service. It's a bad approximation of asian food. There are MANY better places to eat

Great Asian food find in an unexpected location. Laotian cuisine isn't exactly common in Central Texas, so I was pleasantly surprised to find A Taste of Laos at a gas station just south of Waco. Anthony took my order and was able to offer some great suggestions. The food was definitely fresh and hot, and it beats the usual roadside fare between Dallas and Austin!

It was so hard not to just dig in but like my brother once said, “ I had to let my phone eat first”. Look how amazing everything looks. The noodles and eggs were cooked to perfection. Everything was off the charts! 10 out 10 would recommend! Get the egg rolls!

First time trying and I had the rib plate with rice and an egg and let me tell you the food was sooooooo delicious! I also got an order of egg rolls and my husband got the chicken fried rice as well! We will definitely be returning on date night to enjoy again! There was plenty of food for left overs! Highly recommend y’all try out this place! Also customer service was great as well! 10/10

My eyebrow went up when I heard this restaurant was attached to an Exxon station, but my skepticism waned away when we walked in because the people there were extra friendly and helpful, and the food was exceptional. I had the pork belly which had a nice crispy rind, a soft meat/fat combo in the middle, and some greasy cracklings that melt in your mouth. I highly recommend ?
