I ordered pho and that was kind of bland. But the guy at the cashier was good server.

Bland food and horrible service. It's a bad approximation of asian food. There are MANY better places to eat

A nice out of the way food. Prepared well and priced good. It has sit in if you want to. Part of a gas station and it's not the run of the mill gas station food, it's better.

I love coming upon unique and fun gas station restaurants! They are often a very nice surprise. A Taste of Laos is no exception! We ordered the fried pork belly, the chicken larb and the teriyaki chicken. I probably would not order the teriyaki chicken again because it was not as flavorful as the other dishes we tried. However, it was a huge portion and there were additional sauces included in the container; and it included two VERY tasty and crispy eggrolls. The fried pork belly was so delicious and melted in your mouth! The portion size was huge and I chose the steamed rice. I wish that I had tried the fried rice instead. Oh well! I can try that next time. My very favorite of the dishes was the chicken larb. I understand that larb is the national dish of Laos. It had lots of flavor and a pretty complex flavor profile with some kick to it (I ordered hot.) The larb was served with cucumber slices and a sliced wedge of iceberg lettuce to spoon the larb on and DEVOUR! I would definitely order the larb and the pork belly again. However, there were so many delicious sounding items on the menu that it may take me a while to make my way through the menu! They had an asian burrito, loaded fries, chicken wings.....too many items to remember! I felt that the prices were very reasonable.Anthony took our order and was so pleasant to visit with while we waited for our food. He had good knowledge of the menu and was very polite and friendly. The space was clean and there were numerous tables inside for dining. It had a wall of windows that separated it for the most part from the convenience store portion of the building.I would definitely visit A Taste of Laos again. Now I am going to attempt to duplicate the larb dish with some tasty ground venison! Wish me luck!

My son and I went after I had seen several reviews. The food was delicious, the portions were huge and the employees were very responsive. It was not fast food so we waited but it was worth the wait in our opinion.

I definitely recommend giving this place a shot. It really surprised me with how good my food tasted. Just a different explosion of flavor you get with everything is awesome.

I'm now addicted. I have A Taste of Laos at least twice per week. Spicy noodles, chicken fried rice, Thai basil. All of it is good.

Oh my LORD, so good! Proving all the best food in Texas is found in gas stations! Best fried rice ever. Pork belly is amazing. If you like extreme heat, YES, get the spicy noodles!

Just newly opened quaint eatery about 9 months ago and is located adjacent to a Chevron Gas Station's food mart.Stellar service by the staff who took our orders.I ordered the fried pork belly with fried rice. Loved this dish but wished the portion serving had more for the price. Perfect bite cuts of the pork belly.

Definitely give this place a try. Its good. Portions are good. Price is decent. Takeout packaging good. Sticky rice was good. Order was made quick, probably too quick. Next time i want veggie spicy noodles, no meat. I got hot but it wasnt hot. Might up the heat next time. It tasted mild. Went in and ordered takeout. Simple menu. Fresh ingredients. Nothing tasted of gmos, though i didnt taste or try the sauce that came with it. Interior decent. Card payment ok. Cool location. Decent size seating inside. Decent experience. Host lady didnt seem too happy, like most ppl these days. Wish i couldve done or said something to have her a little more pleasent. 1st timer as well. Constructive criticism: if you look at the pics you can see a lot of oil liquid, which didnt have flavor. & i only tasted spicy in one bite. & the chicken is bland in pic & taste. The food was still decent, just fyi. I rate a strong 4.555
