I travel all over the country for my job and have visited more than 65 Starbucks locations, so I feel pretty confident when I say this: the Hickory Creek Starbucks is one of the best — if not the best — I’ve ever been to.

The staff here are genuinely warm and welcoming. They remember their regulars, ask how you’re doing, and actually seem invested in how your life is going. It’s not just about getting coffee and moving on. They turn a routine stop into a moment of real human connection.

You can get coffee anywhere. What you don’t get everywhere is the feeling that someone cares whether your morning starts off right. This team does that consistently, and it makes a difference. They make me feel better about my morning every single time.

If you’re lucky enough to have this Starbucks as your local spot, you don’t know how good you have it.

We ordered pickup through the app. App said our order would be ready in around 12minutes & it was. No one was really in the store, but there was a long drive thru line.

Only issue was the espresso was extremely burnt. Usually the flavors added will somewhat disguise bad espresso. However, in this case it was so bad we couldn’t finish our drinks. 🥴

Went inside to order a grande iced dark roast coffee to go. Staff were very friendly and my drink was ready within a minute. 10 out of 10, would recommend!

Ordered 2 coffees during a downpour. The drive-thru order box has zero rain protection, so I explained to staff at the window why I skipped it. Instead of accommodating, I was told to go back and use the order box even though it was pouring and I was already at the window. I ended up having to get off in the pouring rain since I would have to be in line again to just even use the order box in the pouring rain.

This is ridiculous for a drive-thru. This wasn’t just inconvenient, it was rude and careless service. The staff showed zero concern.

Poor Customer service skills and petty staff. I forgot to ask for an ice water at the speaker and asked for it at the window and was met with a reprimanding comment “next time can you order that at the box”? If I’m paying you $8+ for a coffee, I would appreciate it if you just handed me the water without a comment. The barista that had to make the ice water was petty enough to fill the cup completely with ice and a shot of water. I understand you may have procedures and policies to follow when it comes to taking orders at the window, but a simple ask of an ice water shouldn’t really fall into that realm. Considering there was no one else in the drive thru, I’m struggling to understand why this was such an issue. I’ve worked in customer service for 10 yrs and this is not how you do it. Especially after asking for a tip. If a manager of the location would like to reach out regarding the experience I would be more than happy to have a conversation and change this review.

I placed my order, they didn’t tell me my order total or even repeat it at the screen- the screen was black! , just told me to “wait”
After waiting I pulled forward toward the window to pay with my phone.
The young Hispanic man scanned my app then handed me my drink. I said this doesn’t look right, it’s not full and is just foam.
I added an extra shot of espresso… he said that what you got.
also he stated according to his manager he wasn’t allowed to give me the water I ordered. -A venti size- so I received a tall instead.
Then shut the window as I was still protesting.
Yes, this is Around the corner of the highway. I pulled over to snap a picture.
Horrible service.
