I stopped by today to try the Reuben and also got a Chicago Dog. The food was presented very well, the flavor was on the point, and they were not scared to put a good helping of sauerkraut on the Reuben. The Reuben was a good portion size, and the Chicago dog had all the flavor I was expecting the peppers were crisp and spicy.

Thank you for the wonderful food and service. I hope to see you all in the future.

Chicago dog is great. This is real similar to what I used to do growing up in Chicago. Hotdogs aren’t done like this anywhere else, so it’s real cool he gets it right. Yeah, you can use buzzwords like Portillo’s, Jim’s or Maxwell St as a standard because everyone in Chicago knows them, but if you lived in the city, you would have been to plenty of non touristy places. It reminds me of being a kid.

Food and service was great! I had the Chicago and my wife had a gyros. We love mom and pop shops and this was perfect for us. Banana pudding cake was awesome.

The maxwell polish was OK but not anything like maxwell. Italian beef taste like it was leftovers from the day before. Not good.

I was born and raised in Chicago and was just in Chicago a month ago. The store was hot inside. The food was not even close to tasting like Chicago food, very disappointed. Even the appearance of the food was not Chicago like. I'm sorry but I'm being honest, I would never go back again. I know another place off Blanco near Northstar that is authentic Chicago food. Sorry ?

Warm inside little AC .The Chicago was ok right product on the dog just missing flavor in the way mom vs dad cooked it ..This is just ok missing ?. The Italian Sausage bun was hard and was easy to toss .Meats all tasted like it was all steamed not grilled..But stale bun not good should not serve .Friendly tho..A True Chicago experience maybe they have the product just tasted like they've never been up North for experience.

I enjoyed coming here. Super homey and small town feel.

Hotdogs are six dollars each. It wasn’t the best hotdog that I’ve ever had, but it wasn’t horrible either.

I would come again.

My favorite hot dog spot! So happy they were still open after being gone for 10 years. The hot Italian beef is better than I remember it! If you’re looking for a friendly, family owned spot with amazing food. This is it.

JK’s is a great spot for a traditional hot dog or beef sandwich that remind me of my visits to Chicago when I was a kid! I love an old school Chicago dog! The owners are always there and are very nice people! I think this is the type of food that’s best when eaten immediately so stop in and get a quick bite with the kids that’s made to order!

Italian beef was delicious and a nice size. My wife said she enjoyed her Coney dog. Big loss was not trying the banana cake, it looked really good. Definitely on the next trip.

I stopped in on my way back to Houston, and before I go any further, I will say the service was worth 5 stars. We ordered the Italian beefI chose the combo ( with the Italian sausage), plus a gyro & Chicago dogMy buddy ordered the beef with a Reuben. We shared of course, and we were disappointed, the beef was nothing special, not to mention I've never had the sausage split open and laid on top of the sandwich, the gyro was something from sam's clubAnd the Reuben was just bad. The Chicago dog was average at best. I'm baffled at people who say they were born and raised in Chicago and say this is great Chicago style food.I wish ownership the best, maybe next time I'm passing thru I will give it a second chance

The Chicago style hotdogs were amazing however no fries they don't sell fries ? the hot dogs were 5.99 each the price kinda turned me down but it does have that taste I wanted so I would come back again just but not with the family because of high prices for a hot dog
