yaya's place Mexican Restaurant

Our family came from out of town coming through Hillsboro, yes it was sat Fourth of July 11am I normally do not speak negatively about a business but this one took the cake, the ac was out it’s not their fault, full family was there, starting with the waitress no not welcoming then menus werent given just asked if we needed them, looked like we bothered her blonde hair lady and any time we asked for an item, wanted something we were met with a half effort, then food started with stale chips or old chips, we ordered the large menudo with it was topped with thick layer of grease no attempt to remove, all hominy about 6 mini pieces of meat, posole was just old lacked flavor, the Cuban sandwich’s was more bread meat lacked flavor, the 4 waffle fries it came with where awesome, the Mexican colas were good n semi cold, all in all we won’t come back just make it to Waco for some real eats.

Sold!!!!! Home made flour and corn .. That is a treat for sure … menudo delish !!!! this is from a person that is pretty picky… everyone enjoyed their plates .. cuties pancake for kikds .. price very reasonable ..we can from Dallas .. Daughter and son in law from SA and Waco .. this was a great middle place .. so come get yourself some good Mexican food 😊 Happy customers

Had a great time here with my parents, came after church. Sergio is awesome! So mindful and attentive! Menudo was fantastic; breakfast tacos and burritos 10/10. Def worth a visit.

Excellent place to eat. Beans are delicious, tortillas are big and homemade. Crispy tacos were a 10. Nice people here. Loved it!

Homemade tortillas!! We had breakfast there and it was the best we have had in Hillsboro. The chilaquiles were crispy with just enough ranchers sauce to not make them soggy which is amazing! The Eagle breakfast burrito was excellent and filling. The staff members were friendly and on point. We can't wait to go back and try their lunch items 😍
