So I have been getting carry out for years now. Always get The chicken fried steak. There has been two times that the chicken fried steak has been absolutely horrible! 7-3 2026 . I had to make a sandwich and go to bed . I always order early 3:00 to 4:00 pm so there’s not a rush. Once I could see but when it happen again. I have to say something. No breading on the chicken fried steak it was falling off no gravy on the side mashed potatoes maybe a spoon Full, very small...
Louie’s Bait Camp & Restaurant is one of those no-frills, straight-up coastal Texas spots that just hits every time. Laid-back waterfront vibe, cold drinks, and solid seafood without any pretentious stuff.

We like to stop at this place when we're coming back from Galveston fishing. It's just a great friendly environment as well as the scenery and the food's pretty good. We will definitely be stopping by here again like we always do.
