Great place to stop for food when out on the boat

We come to Floyd's on a regular basis. About once a month or so. The food is very good. We have liked everything we have tried. As usual the service is just not up to par. Need more waiters. We were seated promptly but then it took much too long to get ours drinks. After that the service was better.

We went on Sunday for the buffet brunch. We were able to sit outside and enjoy a nice breeze it was cloudy so didn't get too hot. Being able to look out over the water and watching the boats was nice and relaxing. The food was good and there was a nice variety. I especially enjoyed the peel and eat boiled shrimp and the make your own Bloody Mary table. There were salads, soups, entrees and omelets.

My husband took me here for destination date to have dinner and watch sunset. Big letdown. The location and view are excellent. The menu is interesting and the food was good, not great. The service was terrible and the high prices lead to high expectations and they missed the mark. I would recommend going here for a beer and appetizers to watch sunset but don't splurge on the dinner, not worth the $$$. Too bad because had great potential.

Well to be honest don't tell anyone to go there. I don't want anybody to know. !!! Keep it just our secret. Buy a BIG dinner and TIP well....... Spend on the great bottle of wine.... Look out at the boats. Be very very quiet.!!! Hunting wabbits...

Our waitress was just awesome. She was very attentive, checking on us , refilling glasses and asking if we needed anything. The food was just fantastic. All 5 of us enjoyed ourselves so much. View of the marina was so very nice. We will be back soon.

It was good and I was excited for my friends and family to try it out but the food wasn't as good as it normally is and the waitress had a hard time keeping up. We chose this place for my birthday. We probably won't be bringing big groups here again.

The food was good, especially the calamari, but the bread pudding was terrible. It had no taste at all. Drinks were good. They were friendly. Just a tad slow, but I am sure it was because we had such a large party (21). We had a great time and will return.

Had a good time for Fathers Day with my kids. The food is good and I would recommend it for one of the out of the way spots of the mainstream radar. They have top shelf bourbon which i like and good appetizers.

Went on Father's Day. I have been to other Floyd's locations, mostly Beaumiont, on way to Casinos. This place, not being open but 4 days a week is a wreck. The Waitstaff, Hostess, Bartender, are CLUELESS, and SLOW. I have seen a GLACIER move faster. We first ordered the Brunch Buffet and it was cold and gone, so we nixed that. The crab bisque was good, but my Gumbo was COLD !!!!! We ordered stone crab claws and they were cooked away, to MUSH !! and the MAHI MAHI with a crabcake was ok but the crabcake was Doughy (SEE VIC AND ANTHONYS for a correct crabcake) SAD !!!!

I think if they played some jazz music or soft music that would help ,the chairs are very loud when people are getting up, they close at 10 we were told because the mosquitoes are bad out there near all the lakes......

Our waiter started us out with to-go cups with no explanation as to why we couldn't have glass ware for dinner service. The waiter intentionally avoided our table and ignored us when we asked for things. Then the food was over priced for small portions, not enough rice served with et toufe and was over priced on a secondary small bowl of rice. It was for Father's Day for our family, and the service and food did not match the price on the menu. This is not our first time to Floyd's, but we probably won't be back. We have been three times for family functions and have yet to have good service and food beyond mediocre.

Seated quickly, 1hr + before water, tea, silver arrived. 2+ hrs before food arrived. Most was cold. The only hot food was the order they completely forgot, and when asked, they prepared it. Brought check without tip. That was thoughtful but I felt they put the whole problem on the server, without helping her. I still gave 15%. Felt bad for her.

This is a seafood place and much of the food was very good but the plate just didn't fit together. The restaurant is on the water at a marina and has a very good view but the restaurant can't decide if it wants to be a locals seafood restaurant and be a upscale restaurant. The decor tries to be more upscale but doesn't make it. They need to hire a great interior designer and decide what they want this restaurant to be. The big box room we were in had a 30 foot ceiling and was very uncomfortable to be in. Great start but it needs more work to become a great restaurant.

Views over the water were excellent, very pleasant for dinner. Service could be improved but our waitress was new to this restaurant and could have been more familiar with the menu and wine list, at least she got help to open the wine, which was also excellent. The restaurant was overall somewhat disappointing since it had come highly recommended.
