Mom and pop restaurant that really has a wonderful atmosphere and the food is so good. I highly recommend this place.

Old favorite of mine. Been going there off and on for 50 years. I used to get the 28oz sirloin for 10$.. now it's a 26oz for 33$. Could had used more flavor on the meat. Still everything else was and always has been spot on. The cool thing is they serve things ya don't find most places. Like calf frys.
Appreciated the side salads and the food was very good overall. Enjoyed the sweet potato fries. Only reason I give 3 stars is because I was charged twice for one of our meals. Only realized after we'd left, unfortunately. Bummer. Wish they had given us a breakdown of the receipt before we paid.

Excellent food!! Had a 12 oz sirloin medium rare and shrimp. Yes, it was still mooing. It was cooked to perfection! Tender and juicy, with fries, a salad, and their cabbage. Appetizer beer batter onion rings. The atmosphere and service were on point! Take a ride out to Fall City, TX enjoy the scenery and stop at Shorty's Place. It will not disappoint ?

Shorty’s place is the definition of country diner/kitchen! You walk in and feel like your at memaws house which automatically made me feel good. The witness was always taking care of us and asking if we needed anything. The fried okra was fabulous and very more delicious if you deep it in their home ranch. We ordered the bacon cheeseburger and chicken fried steak both deserve a chefs kiss! Would highly recommend ordering!! Lastly the fried Oreos, HEAVENLY!! If you haven’t stopped at Shorty’s you are definitely missing out.

Homestyle food. Great food and really good steaks.
Great southern style cooking that really hit the spot. Comfort food at its finest. We ate the hamburger steak and frog legs. Everything was seasoned to perfection. Deep fried Oreos to finish the meal! Desiree was our waitress and she did a fantastic job!
I've been eating at Shorty's Place for some time. The food is Amazing and worth the wait since I no longer live in the area anymore.

I guess we went on an off night according to all the other reviews. Shortly’s use to be The Place for an awesome steak. Today, Our Steaks were so bad, they had no flavor and were extremely small. The shrimp was not cooked, it was slimy not any good. The server never came back to see if we needed anything. We will not be returning.
