Use to come here often. Service is bad. Management is even worse especially at night. 30 minutes for some fried chicken. 20 minutes for green beans. I know its not fast food but if I was running out I would have someone on that. It was 5pm with 4 more hours before close. Im sure someone else is going to want chicken or green beans. It makes it worse because its the only one around in Hondo Texas.

I love their brisket plates always order with rice, beans and potato salad. Their sweet tea is awesome and if you're still hungry, I recommend their brownies or a slice of pie which is cheaper then I have seen anywhere else

This place really freaking sucks!! 9/10 the tea is disgustingly OLD. The chicken is dry, salads not fresh and soggy/wilty, old fries. The other day I came through the drive through and parked to check my order and I had to go back inside THREE FREAKING TIMES!!The entire staff just doesn't give a crap. I've stood at the counter for 5 minutes before being acknowledged sometimes even longer. They don't even look at you half the time. This generation they just care about who's dating who they don't care about customer service even the managers don't care. This location has been going downhill for the last five or so years it used to be so much better. Y'all need to learn from Castroville Maybe they can train you. And don't forget to pluck the feathers out of the freaking chicken!!!

Up until recently, the server would let you know if there was going to be a delay on any items. Today, I made my order at 1:00pm for 3 tacos and waited nearly 20 minutes to even get my food. I generally like eating here. The food is good and affordable. Bethany was the server during this visit, and she didn't bother telling me about any delay. After about 16 minutes, I went back to the front to see what was going on and waited for nearly 3 more minutes before anyone came to see what I needed. Maybe it was just the staff today. I don't normally have these issues. I hope that the employees either get the training they need or the assistance they need in the future.
