The hamburger & fries were delicious hot and lots of yummyness

Admittedly, I'm very picky about hamburgers, and theirs did not wow me. Decent, yes--but not worth a return trip, in my book. You can get much better a few blocks east at Hondo Cafe. However, I learned through the grapevine that Billy Bob's had good fried catfish--an absolute favorite, about which I'm also very picky. Based on this rumor, I stopped again and ordered the catfish plate, served with fries and coleslaw for about eight bucks. I was impressed at the near-perfection of the fish! It almost surely was frozen before cooking, something I can almost always identify due either by the awful coating or the mushiness of the fish. Remarkably, this was different! I couldn't tell whether it was fresh or frozen! As good as the fish was, they torpedoed the offering by including inedible coleslaw--a mushy, tasteless mess that seems to be endemic with most restaurants. Good coleslaw a wonderful thing. It's not difficult to prepare, and it wouldn't cost any extra. I just don't get it. Another disappointment was the paucity of fries. I'm not asking for fresh-cut fries (most restaurants don't know how to cook these, either), just a few more than seven small pieces. The hush puppies were the standard preformed and frozen ones you get at most restaurants. I thought about giving them an extra star for the fish, but I noticed I was freezing and the food was getting cold quickly. The air conditioning was likely cranked all the way down so as to make the kitchen comfortable. This is becoming very pervasive in restaurants due to the difficulty finding help. The owners are willing to sacrifice the comfort of the customers to keep the staff happy. Too bad the sign doesn't read Billy Bob's Catfish; that is definitely their long suit. Take a jacket when you go.

Don't bother with Billy Bob's if you're looking for a half way decent burger. It's bad enough the patties are paper thin, but to make matters worse, they cook the life of out of the patties, dry as the west Texas wind. Don't bother asking the staff to cook them medium or medium well. They won't do it. It's charred dry or they won't do it. And no nonsense about cooties, hamburger, and "my safety". I'm perfectly capable of watching out for my own safety. On the other hand, the fried catfish is surprisingly good for a burger joint, if a wee bit expensive. The staff is friendly and attentive, even if they aren't allowed to cook to order.

So glad we found this burger establishment because it is a must try! I ordered the avocado cheeseburger with fries & it was delicious! The only down side that I didn't like was the avocado sauce- it had a little too much salt. I would have preferred it with just avocado slices but still ate every bite. The fries were perfect & just the right proportion. Already looking forward to going back!

First time there and girl behind the window took our order, paid, got our drinks and sat down. We might have waited 10-15 minutes for our food. I had spicy chicken sandwich and hubby ordered 1/2 lb burger. Absolutely fantastic!

My Mushroom Swiss burger was good, but it could have used more swiss cheese and the cheese was not fully melted across the burger. For a mushroom swiss one may prefer a thicker patty. These were thin, similar to frozen patties, but tasted like fresh (which I believe is how they are advertised). All the other ingredients--the lettuce, tomato, and even the bread--seemed fresher than usual for a fast food place. The bread was very soft and slightly fragrant though without much flavor, just a white bread bun. The whole sandwich seem to be devoid of seasoning but saved from total blandness by the swiss cheese. Drive thru service was prompt and friendly.

Customer service is getting poor. You can go inside wait at the window for 10 minutes and nobody even acknowledges you. Go to the drive through and wait 30 minutes to get your order. Sad because the food is pretty good when you can get decent service.
Wait was long because of being short staffed, but it was worth the wait, one if the best hamburgers I've had in a long time!!!!

We were driving three and saw the build. We thought it looked great from the outside, but service was poor and hamburgers didn't meet expectations.

Service is awful, the wait for 2 burgers and Children's nuggets was over an hour and 20 minute wait. Couldn't leave since they make you pay for the meal ahead of time and the short Redhead young Lady was so rude! She started to treat us Ugly when she saw another lady walk up to me and warned me about the wait and how long she was waiting. So just because of that and without canceling my order and Patiently waiting, she still was unpleasant to us. I should've waited to get to San Antonio instead!

Only gave it one star because I could not give it zero stars. They are a hot mess. Waited forever to place our order and not only was the order missing an item, it was totally incorrect. Very disorganized operation and I would strongly suggest that you pass this one by.
