OMG!! We ordered the All Meat Sampler & it did not disappoint. The potato salad & backed beans are good as well. The lemonade did not leave that tartness after I drank it. Hands down, Mr. D's BBQ is amazing. Oh, & Mrs. D, was so kind & helpful. 5 stars all around. (I was trying to share a picture, but could not figure it out)
Once you had some brisket here all others just won’t do it like they do, if your a trucker get on there skip the McDonald and the subway go get a big bad brisket sandwich

Chopped brisket and pulled pork are good. Smoked chicken is well-seasoned and juicy. The sauce is on the sweeter side, with a rich earthiness that keeps it from being too sweet. IMO, the ribs are the best of the barbecue offerings here. But the star of the show is the smoked gumbo. Worth a detour. Mrs. D herself is friendly and welcoming.

The food was absolutely delicious. The meat had that great smokey flavor and was very tender and juicy. The sides tasted homemade ! Mrs D was very friendly , can't believe I've been passing by this little gem. The Broquet is the perfect amount of food for 2 people.

Loved everything about our experience! We got the 5 meat sampler and cannot fault it. Between 2 adults and a child it was a good amount. Pulled pork, brisket, pork ribs, chicken and sausage were all moist, flavourful and a good amount of smoke (we’ve found the smoke lacking at other places). Sides are also some of the best we’ve had. Baked beans were not from a fan like some other places and the potato salad was really good.
Great value and service. Very convenient being just off the highway.
Note there’s no where really to eat it as it’s a truck stop type place - We had a picnic next door on the grass at the truck stop which was fine.

Right across the street from Loves, next to the truck wash. The truck can be placed briefly on the gravel lot of the car wash. Order either from the girl inside, or if she’s not there, then on the radio that’s lying at the window of the booth. The menu is very simple. Several options for sizes and number of servings, and all that remains is to choose what kind of meat you want.
Cards are accepted, but there is a small discount for cash. The prices are divine, for $20-30 you can eat very well.
