“I went for dinner on a Wednesday and we walked out cuz it had been over an hour and we had no food. Very bad service. The waitress told me they had a party for 20 people and they were attending to them first. That's not right. And every weekday they have specials well apparently Wednesday they don't anymore or she just didn't want to serve us at all. So disappointing“

My pup gives it two thumbs up for having a dog park, pet friendly staff, water bowls and ice, and usually a handful of pet owners bringing friends. “First thing I look for is cleanliness, dust on furniture and objects inside. If I see none I eat more relaxed, if I see excessive dust I walk out. ASAP. Next I look at the silverware, water spots, glasses with stains, Iam out of there. If I stay to eat , Iam looking for taste. If it has that special taste , Iam sold. My own cooking is always over spiced, over salted, to rich etc etc. The only ways you get around this is to cook with love and patience, it’s a passion. When you find this you have hit gold. Good luck, and enjoy. Iam a return customer because of these things I have mentioned.“

I left my purse on the chair & didn’t realize until I was home, I called to see if it was still there on my way over. A young lady immediately said let me ask them, in a minute she comes back and says no they didn’t find a purse but didn’t let me explain where and put me on hold, the call failed and I called back and a manager picked up and explained to her I was on the phone waiting to explain where and she more experienced asked where I was sitting exactly and looked and came back to ask me a couple questions about how my purse looked just to make sure it was mine. I just want to recognize how she handled it all, she was great & I appreciate it.“

They were super friendly, showed up ahead of time to start serving at the time we agreed on, made sure all the taco toppings were always filled, I love that they add a lot of meat on the tacos and even go as far as putting cheese on the baked potatoes! Everything was super delicious and we’ll definitely be recommending and having them for future events! 😊“

“I’m not sure why there is a recent bad review on google, but please take those with a grain of salt. Sofia’s has been our go-to for YEARS, and I am not even a San Elizario native. Sofia is always here and when you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm smile and welcome from her, her daughter Nancy, and the comforting home-town atmosphere. I always feel like I’m inside a huge family dining room. My go-to is the Plato Mexicana and it never disappoints. Their burritos, flautas, burgers, enchiladas, and breakfast items are also really good. These are just our normal orders but everything is phenomenal. Love that they also bring you chips and salsa with a cup of whatever caldo they have that day (menudo, Fideo, posole, etc.). Will forever be loyal customers here, and you won’t regret if you are too.“
