This was my second time at Aduli’s and I came with the rest of my housemates. I thoroughly enjoyed my first dining experience with this establishment. The owner’s mother was incredibly kind and offered us a free drink. I decided to recommend this place to my five other roommates, and we came by for a House dinner. The ambience was very inviting and warm, and the owner tailor the music to our taste. The food was prepared to our liking and the owner constantly checked on us to make sure we were satisfied. He was incredibly accommodating and told us about his journey starting this restaurant.

We’re big fans of Ethiopian cuisine and visited with high expectations. We ordered the vegetarian platter, but unfortunately the flavors were underwhelming and didn’t feel authentic. The ambiance also lacked the atmosphere of a fine dining experience. Overall, it didn’t meet our expectations, and we wouldn’t plan to return.

Great food and absolutely the best service. My wife and I came here for our first anniversary and we were glad we did. Definitely coming back with my siblings and friends. The mother and son duo were very friendly and accommodating

Good food and a very friendly owner! My wife and I shared the Awaze Beef Tibs. Nice spice level and good portion to be shared. The owner stopped by and we had a nice conversation after the meal.

Recently went to Adulis with ~25 people with no reservation. We were immediately told by the owner that it was just he and his mom and if we wouldn't mind being patient. We were happy to wait of course as we had seen the 4.9 star rating. My table ordered the veggie platter, doro wot, lamb tibsi, and awaze tibs. Each dish was incredible. Our table fell into absolute silence as we shared the meal. We also ordered honey wine which was delicious. We were given as much injeera as our heart desired. We were offered traditional coffee and tea after our meal. They also presented a pan of smoking coffee beans to us as a sign of hospitality. We were welcomed with such love and care it was truly an unforgettable experience that I will keep with me for a long time. And I will most certainly be back!

Omg the food here is delicious! We had the veggie platter and it was great! Big enough platter for two people. Great friendly service and they explained what everything was. Great healthy Ethiopian food. Highly recommend.

We had the vegetarian platter and it was plenty for two people. Wow... the food was outstanding!! If you have had Ethiopian food before, this place will not disappoint. If you have not, you are in for a real treat. Highly recommended.

I see all these great reviews about this place so definitely will be going tomorrow…I see they have doro wat on the menu, but didn’t see anyone mentioning it. I’ve been craving doro wat for some time and it’s been years since I had it..See you tomorrow Adulis!
Update: So I did go the next day and Behana was so welcoming and the doro wat I ordered was amazing. I end up bringing leftovers home because it was so much. I wanted my sister to try it because she’s one that is scared to try different foods from other countries, but when she tried that, she lit up and was like I definitely like this..She even googled the recipe for doro wat thinking I will make it, but I told her it requires many ingredients I can’t find here..Nevertheless, I will be going back although it’s a ways away because I live in Katy.

I recently visited Aduli’s Ethiopian Restaurant, a wonderful family-owned spot that instantly made us feel at home. The wife welcomed us so warmly that it truly felt like we were dining in her own home. She crafted delicious cocktails, and her house honey wine is an absolute must-try.
The food was beautifully served, authentic, and made with so much care—it felt truly special. The husband was equally kind, greeting us with a smile and even helping us pack our leftovers.
Overall, we loved our experience. If you’re looking for authentic Ethiopian cuisine with genuine hospitality, this place is a must-visit!

My husband and I ordered the veggie platter and absolutely loved it! The dish was enough for two and included a variety of lentils, a chickpea sauce, and vegetable assortment. We ate that with the bread, injera, which the owner, Merrick, showed us how to eat (pour the chickpea sauce in the center, and scoop up with injera). Amazing flavor and what an experience! We also loved the Eriterian vibe of the restaurant. Definitely will be going back!
Houston's Gem!
Adulis Restaurant offers a delightful mix of unique and traditional Eritrean and Ethiopian cuisine, paired with outstanding customer service. Berhana provided me with an unforgettable experience that truly made me feel at home. Dining at Adulis is like celebrating a holiday every day. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in trying amazing habesha food. ⭐️ 5 stars!
Peace to Habesha.
