This is a great spot near Rice Village and highly recommend it. The vibe is laid back and friendly meets upscale modern. Disclaimer some of the customers might have a case of the Dalitudes and come across as uptight or think they’re more important than they are, but that’s something they have to work out.
The Turkish wrap was awesome and there a decent amount of parking.

This is a very cute place to have brunch or lunch in. Their coffee was good and the food was very fresh, their beet sauce was so good! I’d come back just for that. Aesthetically pleasing place too

Since the post, management kindly reached out and we discussed it. I will definitely be back again given how attentive the team was upon hearing about my recent experience

Always appreciate the nice food and atmosphere at Agnes. However, the rudest young woman working the counter this early Friday morning after Thanksgiving. When inquiring about the muffins, she was so short and impolite and rude that I would unfortunately not return to support this nice neighborhood establishment. As a small business owner, I would want to know how my customers are being treated by the staff.

Terrible matcha latte. Can’t taste the matcha. Woman making the drinks was awful and rude. We waited 25 min for two take away drinks and the restaurant wasn’t busy and there was no one else in line.

The micro grocery store is awesome. I found some incredible quality spices and the most delicious honey marshmallows. I try to stop in whenever I pass and get a fancy little treat.

Agnes is a wonderful spot here in Houston
The menu offers a good variety of dishes, all delicious and well-prepared. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, making it a perfect place for a casual meal or a drink, whether it's tea, coffee, or a alcoholic beverage.
The staff are friendly and attentive, adding to the overall pleasant experience

I ADORE Agnes and visit regularly! Among my favorites are: avocado toast, chicken kebab, lattes, the GLUTEN FREE banana bread, the bee knees (earl grey infused gin!?!? YES PLZ), the crab toast, the strawberry rhubarb soda… obviously the list goes on and on ?
The staff is always kind and attentive, you get free wifi for 2 hours, and I’ve never had to make a reservation (even with a party of 6).
This place is a hidden gem - if you haven’t visited yet, what are you waiting for!?

If you care about the service, don't bother in coming here. I live in the neighborhood and have been multiple times: their coffee is great, drinks are good, and breakfast options are varied. However, not once have I been treated well or felt welcome. This past week was the cherry on top: the waiter asked me to move tables to accommodate a larger party, after our food had already arrived. When I told him that I would be leaving in 10 minutes, he made a sarcastic comment and had the worst attitude until we left. Besides, the party that wanted our table stood next to us until we left. Terrible experience and a disappointment to see how a place that has potential, offers so bad customer service and even to regulars like myself.

The staff here is absolutely wonderful. The recipes are enjoyable and the sourcing of ingredients is thoughtful and intentional. The managers are all upbeat and well meaning people who help bring a smile to peoples faces and make a sincere effort to remember regulars preferences and service them accordingly.
The higher management of the establishment leaves a lot to be desired. They arent whole-heartedly invested in running their business properly as demonstrated by their lack of due diligence in maintaining a security system (their cameras don't work, ask the gentleman whose car was broken into in front of the non-operational camera), their refusal to pay their staff equitable living wages, and their tendency to derail every genuine business development discussion into either a venting session about their personal life (get a therapist) or shying away from engaging with matters that more mature business owners would face head on by bringing up the latest entertainment they have consumed.
So tip the service staff well and don't shy away from taking some of the delusionally overpriced goods from the storefront without paying for them, the companies bottom line can handle it.
Dietary restrictions: They are very accommodating about dietary restrictions, have charts to show what meals contain what, and are well educated on how to make adjustments to meals based on customers unique needs/desires.
Wheelchair accessibility: Easily wheelchair accessible with a variety of seating options.
