The BBQ Pork might be my favorite dish in Houston. Simply incredible. They also have some kind of bok choy or broccoli asparagus that is simply incredible. You get great portions and I usually have to add something just to reach the credit card minimum because its so inexpensive. Their other proteins are great too but that BBQ pork is elite.

Bad duck, smells like it went bad. Also food is all cold. Roast pork was okay

I love this place and come here at least once a week. Food is delicious and reasonably priced.
Heads up, it is to go only though -, it's a no frills restaurant.

The chicken in the freezer has been in the freezer for many days. There is white mold on the surface, and the soup at the bottom has become mucus. Disgusting.

My family and I came here specifically for some delicious duck and it did not disappoint!
The ordering process is easy and the staff is helpful. Their lunch special goes all day so we got several different things to try. Everything was delicious and tasted like someone's mom made it (and I mean that in the best way). It tasted like an authentic home cooked meal.
We got a few extra things but we spent $11-$12 per person. It is a cafeteria style counter. You order your meat, they cut it and put it in a box then you point to what sides you want and they box it up for you, you pay and go.
It is wheel chair accessible.
The place was clean and quiet and the staff was patient with us juggling our 2 kids and taking a minute to decide.
We will absolutely be back and are adding this into the rotation of restaurants we go to.
The only reason it gets 4 stars and not 5 is because we would've loved the option to be able to sit and eat.

Tiny little shop with good food...IF you get it fresh. Otherwise I'm not sure if barely lukewarm meat is good or even safe to eat. Nice guy though!

I absolutely love this place. I used to come here all the time, then i stopped working in the area for a year, then my office moved back nearby in walking distance so i get to get Alan’s deli’s delicious food more often! It is literally so cheap to get lunch and portion is insane.. They have different kinds of sides you can pick from and all of them seems to be delicious from when I do want to try something new it never disappointed! Not to mention they have a lot of drinks to choose from! I feel this is best for lunch or for dinner (they do close pretty early, i believe 6 PM.) give them a try, as the cost is cheap and the food are d-e-l-i-c-i-o-u-s! Not to mention their staff are so friendly! I didn’t come to get their food for a whole year and they still remembers me!

We didn't order anything because their credit card reader was down. I am sure the food is decent because they have a lot of customers walk in. The premade dishes don't look like they are kept at optimum temperature though.
My review is for the owner's attitude. Houston is not HK or China. What's with all the shouting. And I saw her shove her Hispanic cook because he was in the way. Very unprofessional.

I always come here when I’m not looking to spend much on food. This place offers a variety of combos and meats at a great price. I usually get the B2, which comes with rice, Chinese BBQ pork, and two sides. It’s filling and flavorful every time. The customer service is amazing, and the lady at the counter is always very nice and welcoming. Just a heads-up, you’ll need to pay in cash if your order is under ten dollars. I’ll definitely keep coming back.

not many beef option but overall pretty good
Generous prices, generous portions. Lining up is a bit awkward. Worth a trip, or at least a look.
Alan's is a quick in and out normally, but lunch and before dinner.. watch out for line that can happen and that starts outside. Where else can you get a massive amount of food for a lunch box for $7.50 now? Not many. When I first went here, a box lunch used to be $5.75 but hey, thats inflation for you. Then again, it has expanded inside its tiny location a lot from before too. There are so much more items here than before. I always grab pig ears here when I'm buying my roasted pork and bbq pork.
Always really good food! Line can be a bit long at peak hours but usually moves quick. Food is always awesome, definitely give this place a shot!
Open kitchen style, chopping the poultry & pork. Delicious rice & veggies all for $10 bucks yeaaaa this place is the truth
