Enjoyed my first visit, we had the Royce's plate and the tortilla soup. Portions were good, tortilla soup was delicious. Only downside was the mole enchilada and the brochette shrimp were both more salty than I would like.

Chicharrón with queso, always still crackling when they hit the table and are perfect for those looking to skip the chips.

The long gone but never forgotten Tampico enchiladas were my go to, but nowadays the suiza enchiladas with shrimp fills at void.

Always delicious and never bland.

Ordered a tampiquena and was disappointed with the portion of meat—only 3 small pieces. The dish was mostly rice, beans, and lettuce. The price seemed fair only if the meat portion was adequate.

Alma was just okay for us. We went in December, and unfortunately the hostess came across as rude and a bit passive-aggressive, which made us feel uncomfortable from the start. Our waiter, however, was very nice and attentive, which we appreciated. The food was good overall, but my husband didn’t feel his dish was worth the price. We spent about $70 total, and based on the experience, we wouldn’t be returning.

Horrible service it was my second time eating there, and I will never eat there again. The waiter did not bring water once he realized I needed water. He took off running toward me to give me water the third time I needed water. He pour something in my glass, that was very cloudy did not look like water nor taste like water and every time I complain to him, he just brushed me off like he didn't even care when I told him I was gonna come to Google and give a review He said OK that's that's fine, he didn't give me a bag to take my to go food. I had to ask him for a bag to put my togo food in the food was cold. That's the reason I was taking it to go to get out of there I should have left when I receive the queso with ground beef in it. It was very cold ,The only thing that was hot was the sizzling part of the fajitas the rice was cold. The churro beans was cold. It was just pitiful there and no one cared that was not a manager on site. That will be my last time spending 60 bucks on one person to eat TRASH

I was skeptical about Alma, if I’m being honest. Most Mexican restaurants are a hit or miss. However, I was so impressed and surprised by the quality and taste of the food. My flautas weren’t too oily and the chicken was juicy and flavorful. I left not bloated, when usually I am at other Mexican food establishments. It’s a bit overpriced, but the food is so good that it will definitely be a go-to stop for quality and flavorful Mexican.

The BEST Mexican food in The Heights. It’s authentic tasting, it’s clean and healthy not greasy or oily. We got the barbacoa tacos, the chicken and beef picadillo enchiladas, and the chicken flautas. Every dish we had was so good! The Mexican rice and charro beans were also delicious. This is my new go to Mexican restaurant. If you’re looking for healthy Mexican food that tastes authentic, this is the place.

We came in for brunch and my husband ordered the Breakfast Plate. According to the menu, the Breakfast Plate includes a main course, a side of breakfast potatoes, a side of beans, and fresh flour tortillas. The main course options are potato & egg, ham & egg, bacon & egg, chorizo & egg, or huevos a la Mexicana.

My husband chose potato & egg. When his plate arrived, it only had the potato & egg, the beans, and tortillas — the side of breakfast potatoes was missing. I asked our server about it and was told that when you choose the ‘Breakfast Plate’ it’s only the main course and beans. At the time I didn’t have the menu in front of me, so I let it go.

Later, I pulled up the menu on my phone and showed it to the server, because it clearly states that the Breakfast Plate includes a side of breakfast potatoes regardless of the main course. By the time I was able to show him, my husband was almost done eating due to the long gaps between check-ins (which was also very frustrating)

The server first said he would “take care of it on his end” or could box the potatoes to go, but then came back and said the kitchen told him that when you choose the main course ’potato & egg’ it does not come with a side of potatoes. That explanation just doesn’t make sense — it’s like saying if your main dish is a baked potato, you can’t have fries on the side.

For a $15 plate, this was disappointing, especially when the menu itself contradicts what we were told. The food itself was good and the restaurant has a nice aesthetic, but the situation could have been handled much better. My husband is a very picky eater and chose this specifically because he likes potatoes and believed he would be getting a side as well, but he didn’t receive what was advertised.

It’s unfortunate because I really enjoyed my meal, but the miscommunication and lack of resolution makes me hesitant to return

We are like the atmosphere here. They make the best charro beans according to my partner. I tried the burrito bowl for the first time tonight and LOVED it!!! We enjoy their margaritas and fajitas, too. The parking is challenging, but it’s worth a try!!!

Service was ok. Our server did look like he was busy though so I don’t blame him. The only problem that we really had was the food taking way too long. Food should not take almost an hour to come out. I understand 30 maybe 40 minutes but almost an hour.To me that is crazy.Another thing my sisters eggs were cold but at that point we were very hungry that we didn’t want to say any thing cause we didn’t want to wait any more

We did a Ladies Brunch and enjoyed everything from food, service, to atmosphere. A few dishes were priced high compared to what you received. I would go back again.

I am a regular at this location because it's right by my job. Last week i was there and believe i left my wallet at the table. I asked if they could check the cameras just to see if i left it there or not and was informed they didn't have access to the cameras. i called and spoke with the manager who also told me she doesn't have access to the camera. I have emailed, called a million times etc and still nothing. this has completely left a bad taste in my mouth and i will not be returning.

Excellent fajitas and margs. Guac is great and chips are not greasy. Great TV for sports and outdoor seating. Good for kids.

We don't live to far from here. For us, Alma Latina is a consistent go to for last min Tex-Mex. When we hadn't really planned out our weekend morning or evening and want something we know does the trick. Might not be our favorite but it will hit. That's Alma Latina for us. We can always count on them for being there. The Fajitas are always on point. We've even brought family here for morning brunch on the weekends and it's always a good time. Outside of the Roys mixed Fajitas, we've had the Posole and breakfast Tacos. Not to big of a fan of their queso fundido. Admittedly, hadn't tried anything outside of that but I'm sure it's good to. I'm also a huge fan of the new patio they've built.
