Food Poisoning!!!!! If I can leave a zero I will. I stay all the way in Conroe, so whenever ever I am able o come on the south side the goal is Nigerian food. We haven’t been to Amala zone in over a year so we decided to go yesterday, upon walking in I noticed the cleanliness was at a zero, the bathrooms were nasty and the refrigerator to grab your drinks were nasty, I should have left, but then again we came all the way from Conroe. My husband and I got amala gbegiri and ewedu, soup was cold, had to ask the to please microwave it and the lady that ordered after us also brought her plate back up to the register to be warmed. The amala was hard and cold. Long story short, we all woke up this AM with stomach pains, kids throwing up and also diarrhea. Never again!!!!!

I was here 02/2/25 @12pm and they are not open. I stay outside for over 45min and none of thier staff use normal common sense to address the customers what's going on....I will never come here again. This is the 3rd time am experiencing this and not that thier food is really decision. Customer Service is zero and unfriendly staff

First time visiting. Went on a Sunday evening around 7pm. There were 3 customers ahead of us and we were waiting for about 20mins because the person taking the order was also the person doing the checkout process. I knew from this situation that we couldn’t seat and eat. We ordered lots of phomo and Ayamase stew (green designer stew). Both dishes were very yummy. I recommend this restaurant for people that wants good food to-go. Food is good but customer service is mediocre at best.
Parking: Plenty of parking outside
Kid-friendliness: Plenty of room for kids to move around
Wheelchair accessibility: One floor. Easy wheelchair accessibility.

Nigerian restaurants in Houston need to be regulated ATP. There's no reason to still be overcharging while underdelivering. if the owner wants to be a traveling caterer, that's fine. don't forget to completely shut down your restaurant though while you are on the road. Because the staff at Amala zone don't give a crap and serve crap unless the owner is there and guess what guys? She is barely there. So even though you think that you are eating Amala zone delicacies, you are actually eating whatever the bleep any available staff cooked for the day and that inconsistency usually results in waste of money. Inedible food!
Parking: Lots of parking, I guess cos not much traffic?

I don’t know the lady’s name but i think she’s the manager, this woman was so rude to me like i had upset her something just because i asked for half Jollof rice and half native rice. The response she gave me was rude, Nigerians please do better, when any other foreigner comes to order food, y’all treat them with so much respect and patience

1st timer. Location was dark and dingy. Server seemed annoyed or unhappy. Gave the person's before us an overflowing plate of food and gave us 10% of that portion with bones for protein. Cashier seemed uninterested as well. Got home hours away to find the fufus for the soups were not put in the bag. Too far to go back for it. We didn't say anything to them beyond making our orders, but we won't be back. There was no good experience worth returning to.

I visited with my friends and it was a great experience. This certainly felt like home. The Amala and ewedu is the best I've had in a while. I'm definitely coming back.
