This was our first visit here but won't be our last. Great restaurant and very impressive in all respects. Atmosphere, food and service were all outstanding. A little on the pricey side but offered a very good value.
While our server was great and the food was decent, our overall experience was underwhelming. We had a 1:00 PM reservation (along with several other tables), but due to a private event running over, we weren't seated until 1:30 — with no acknowledgment or apology from management, and nothing offered while we waited. Not the best way to start brunch. The food itself was just okay for the price. I ordered the $52 steak frites, but the steak was unevenly cooked and under-seasoned....
Annabelle's is bright and pretty inside and maybe management feels it makes up for the mediocre server we had yesterday. Or the poor welcome we had from the hostess a few months ago. Yesterday's server misunderstood my friends wine request and did not validate our parking vouchers (as he said he did). And alas, the entrees were -- mediocre. It's probably great most of the time. We only visit a few times a year ...
