My dad and I are so grateful for this restaurant and its stellar staff. They are ALL wonderful people. Dad loves the food and that is most important since he is the one going there for his check ups for mesothelioma. But on a personal note, I was thrilled when they added a few vegan options to the lunch/dinner menu and it would be great if they could add a few more for breakfast. For instance, tofu scramble or vegan yogurt with granola and fruit. It would also be great if the vegetable soup could be more veggie forward as opposed to mostly broth. And lastly, maybe some bean soup, beans and rice and some kind of lentil dish would be wonderful.

What a wonderful place for patients and family to enjoy a good meal while seeking treatment at MD Anderson. Highly recommend.

I had a very bad experience in this restaurant. They only had three vegan options in their menu, and I ordered the Moroccan Bowl. I should have pay more attention to their ingredients, but for 16 dollars I guessed, very wrongly, that it would have falafel or chickpeas, and at least in a bowl with plenty of food. But no, it was a extremely simple salad plate, healthy, but not fulfilling and lacking protein and flavor. Considering this restaurant it is inside MD Anderson, a Cancer Center, they should have more delicious plant-based meals, specially because meat increase cancer risk. It is very concerning to have watched so many cancer patients inside eating animals... I hope they improved their menu soon.

Very clean restaurant! I had the teriyaki salmon and it was delicious! The bed of rice was moist and the asparagus was huge! Husband had the shrimp Alfredo and his portion was huge! Definitely recommend if youre visiting MD Anderson

The food, service, and atmosphere were all good. I had a brisket omelet. It was big and had a generous portion of brisket. It could have been spicier for my taste, but that's just a personal preference. The coffee was fresh with good flavor. I sat at a window overlooking a courtyard.

We go quite often, however we have never had great service. The food is great. Waitress never came to refill our drinks until we were almost finished and this happens every time we eat there.

The atmosphere is pleasant. My lowest rating comes because the food is definitely overpriced in the last few months their food prices have increased while the portions become smaller For a small portion of country fried chicken mashed potatoes and green beans is $25 88. The owners and management needs to do better to make the prices more affordable for they're customers who are staying in the Rotary house at MD Anderson cancer center.

Nice atmosphere. Great getaway during treatment. The food was sub par and if any changes were made (i.e. soup from tomato to onion due to swallow restrictions) required $2 upcharge. Very expensive meal that we weren't able to eat.

Extremely overpriced for what you get. The food wasn’t horrible but $18 for a mediocre burger is not my kind of place.

Tried multiple items on the menu everything is horrible. The only nice thing is the bartender. Get your food outside the hospital.

I arrived at this restaurant not sure of where to order food to go as my husband was at May’s clinic for treatment. We are at MDA once weekly and I’ve been wanting to try Apicius Kitchen and because his therapy is going to be through dinner, the timing worked. I found the hostess stand and was helped by a friendly employee, Lissette. She allowed me to take certain ingredients off of 2 selections, which I appreciate. My husband enjoyed his potato corn chowder and we shared hummus, very satisfying! I ordered the Buddah bowl thinking it was a cooked entree and a side garden sąlad, but basically ended up w 2 salads as the BB is a salad too. It was still very tasty, but came w no dressing, so I was happy I could use the cilantro lime dressing(came w garden salad)and it was very tasty, although don’t think it’s an $18 salad. When we finished our meal, my husband commented he was ok w me not ordering his side Cesar salad. Then I realized he had ordered that too and I had read his order to Lissette off of my phone, so I checked my receipt and it was the first item listed. I called the restaurant and Lissette answered and took care of the issue obliging me w a credit she said will show up on my card tomorrow. I was very pleased w this outcome as I didn’t want to make the long walk back to Rotary House Hotel Apicius Kitchen. I will try the buffet next visit and it’s actually a better value @$23. Especially if you enjoy salads and fruit as I do! Thanks for your help, Lissette!
