Very relaxed atmosphere and friendly service. There's a great variety of brews and the staff take their time with you to learn about your drinking options. Also, the food truck on site is AMAZING

Update: Down rating due to new management's decisions.

North Shepherd Brewing (Astral Brewing) used to be a great place. While their beers were never exceptional, they had a couple of decent pours. Once their master brewer left, the beers started to decline - hazy IPAs were not hazy anymore. Psychonaut (Durham or TC whatever it's called now) is not a confused west coast 'may be' pale ale.

Then things turned for worse when the new management took over - starting with the brand name. How original to name the brewery the same as the address, just in case someone got lost? Then came the worst decision - to paint over the astronaut murals that made this place unique. It's a space city and the brewery name didn't have to be associated with the murals. Now you've got another mediocre brewery, charging $8 a pint. Oh, they're super kids friendly - not opposed to kids at breweries but a section with play toys? Misplaced priorities!

They've got a couple of decent pours going now - Fruited Yale Hazy, German pils. But the Hefeweizen and other IPAs are still mediocre.

I have come here few times and tried different beers, all surprisingly good. Personnel are really kind, the place is clean and normally quiet.

Great vibe and brews.

We found this place by mere chance since we were actually looking for Oaxacan food, a food truck that is right in front of this place. We took the opportunity to go in for a beer and wow! The atmosphere is charming, it is pet friendly which I loved, the attention is 10 and even though I only had a beer, I was able to see some of their products and without a doubt we will return! I highlight the calm and tropical atmosphere of the place!

This is the best neighborhood brewery in Houston! They have a fantastic selection of tasty beers, ranging from hoppy IPAs to rich stouts. The laid-back vibe makes it a perfect spot to relax, whether you're with friends or just unwinding after a long day.

The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, always ready to help you find the perfect brew. The outdoor patio is a great place to hang out, with plenty of seating and often live music or food trucks on the weekends.

Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to enjoy great beer in a chill atmosphere!

Great place to celebrate special moments such as installing a Little Free Library, Charter #184412! Feel free to leave a book, take a book! Books pair well with a Mexican Lager :) Place is very spacious and family friendly!

Meh this is very basic and boring makes me sad because previous owners are adventurous in flavors. The only thing keeping this place a float is the awesome taco truck albriaje and Cindy the bar tender. The decor and merch is giving basic Irish pub ? does not compliment the neighborhood which is becoming cultural with esters soul food and and sao Lao Thai Lao. If you want boring domestic just go to your corner store or whole in the wall bar. You have to compete with the wooden spoon to get all the old customers back or new customers here to get food from the taco truck. Need the board games pool table unique art work and shuffle board back ??‍♀️ I miss the German chocolate cake and the dreaming mind sour and Mexican chocolate all the spices sigh sad sad sad ? depressing basicness

The beer was great, however, it’s important to note that when we visited on a Saturday afternoon, the brewery was an absolute children’s playground. There were babies everywhere which is very much not our scene. It was our first time visiting, so just a heads up to anyone not looking for that atmosphere.
