Old school Diner with staff that have worked there for decades. Great service and food. Highly recommended. We’ve have eaten here a few times and each time it has been great. We have been wanting to try their lunch menu. Many locals are always present and the waiters know their names.

The huevos rancheros were eggs with watery salsa on top and way too much melted cheddar cheese.
The chicken fried steak was not fresh, it appeared to have been microwaved.
The pancakes are the only redeeming quality.

It was pretty crowded and tight seating but the place was quaint the service excellent and the food good, I definitely enjoyed my chicken fried steak and eggs (a first for me) great homemade flavor.

We've been to Avalon dare I say over 200 times in the last 10 years! It's our go to for a good hearty breakfast or brunch on the weekends, service is always friendly and fast. My favorite is the homemade lemonade, the Philly cheese steak omelet, the chopped steak. When I want to finish off with something sweet, a single pancake always hits the spot - it's a great pancake!
