I love the fresh tortillas. The meat was good, I tried the barbacoa, mole and carne guisada. The line was long but not too crazy. The ladies making tortillas and tacos could be nicer. The woman that made my tacos wasn't friendly at all and barely gave me a smidgen of onion and cilantro atop my barbacoa taco. The younger girl who rang us up was kind and the other girl that sat us was attentive and sweet. The beans could use more flavor though and they honestly they really need a posted menu.

Found this place with Google. Wasn't what we expected when we walked in, but the staff was very helpful and nice. The food was great. I would definitely go again to try different meats.

Long line but definitely worth it! They make the tortillas by hand, both flour and corn. All the tacos are delicious, but definitely try the gorditas!

The place is hopping on a Saturday morning. Sometimes good enough is good enough. Very typical Northern Mexico fare. The range of artery clogging gray meats, steam table style, carnitas, barbacoa, pollo deshebrada en salsa, etc. Flour tortillas made on the spot. This is a place you come for fun, for the experience. Think of the food as secondary as it is okay but there are no OMG moments here. But it is a FUN place, like being transported to Nuevo Laredo without leaving Houston. On most recent visit, I opted for rice, beans, squash on the (kind of tough) flour tortillas. Menudo available. Open every day til about 3:00 or 4:00.

Had this food catered to a venue last Sunday, and it tasted nothing like what we tasted at the appointment. Very disappointed in the lack of quality and flavor. My guest picked at the food, and so much went to the trash. I feel deceived because I would of never order from this place if it tasted this bad.
