My visit left me with mixed impressions. While no aspect of the meal particularly stood out as exceptional, the experience was generally acceptable in terms of food quality and service. However, one issue significantly detracted from the overall visit: a noticeable smell of cigarette smoke coming from the kitchen area. This was both surprising and off-putting, and it raised concerns about the establishment’s hygiene and atmosphere. Addressing this would greatly improve the dining experience and help the restaurant present itself at a higher standard.

I don’t remember the name of this dish, but it’s so delicious, especially for those who love spicy dishes. Huge portion of fish fillet placed on soft tofu and super spicy chillies and scallion on top, with tasty sauce!

I have been going to Banana Leaf for over 10 years. Food was authentic and tasty, but it is bad now.
My favorite were the soups with curry. We ordered it today and got something akin to a bad cajun stew
Too many choices for this place to exist. Not going back. I noticed my review is not showing up and there are several reviews that are answered by owner and have very similar writing style and pictures. I detest paid or in exchange for food reviews. Place is empty
$17 for a vegetarian dish is really a poor selection. It is supposed to be a noodle soup. Not a rice combo.
The small roti are also not worth it. Overpriced food and bad cooking.
The service was a disappointment also. Place was empty and the servers never came around to see if we needed anything. The male argued with my daughter about wrong dish served. Dude, we were ordering the soup for 20 years. We cook at home so we know what it is supposed to be. Shameful.
I think they have new owners

I just went today and the menu has changed. I ordered the same meal as always the curry soup and is a totally different dish. I wont be going back the food is not the same and the taste is not the same. The portions are now so small and the waiter didn't even bothered to check on us.

Low key spot for great Malaysian dishes. I recommend the roti canai and Hainanese Chicken and Rice

Banana Leaf has been there in the plaza for many years serving their take on Malaysian flavors. A solid outing with both chicken and beef satay skewers along with beef rendang and roti all of which was very delicious. Service was attentive enough if not overly impressive.

I went in the lunch time, but they did not get me the lunch price and over charge me. I ordered the curry chicken and the Chicken only few small pieces, rice is super dry, very disappointed.

The nasi lemak was excellent! The staff is very friendly and the food was delicious and mouth wateringly fragrant. If you haven’t had Malaysian food yet, give Banana Leaf a chance.
