Terrible service. Our waiter disappeared for at least 15 minutes when we were about to place the order!! Then it took a while to flag down the manager, who walks around with tunnel vision paying no attention to the customers. When she finally did come over, she was wearing a NOSE RING. DISGUSTING!!! Very bad experience all-around.

Amazing food and service on a busy Saturday night. We shared several dishes, including the calamari, pea dip, pappardelle, steak frites, branzino and delicious dessert called “The Martellus.” . Fantastic cocktails as well.

The short rib Reuben was really good but the steak frites was unreal. Great food great service and was also impressed by their bourbon selection.

Bar Bludorn is absolutely amazing.

I first met Faith, the Assistant General Manager, at Anvil (my regular spot). We exchanged business cards, and I promised her I’d stop by to check out Bar Bludorn. I kept my word and came by around 8 PM.

Unfortunately, she had just left, but one of the managers kindly let me know she had stepped out shortly before I arrived.

That said wow. The place completely exceeded expectations. The vibe is fantastic, the service is top-notch, and the bartender is beyond amazing. Super cool attitude, incredibly welcoming, and clearly knows how to make outstanding drinks. Every cocktail was on point.
The food? No notes 🔥 Absolutely excellent.

I texted Faith right after to let her know how great the experience was. This is definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to, and I’ll be recommending it to my friends, family, and customers without hesitation.

Nice place, food is good, service good but I hate to share a bathroom with men , as a woman I don't like that and when I walk in it was two guys and I can tell they were uncontainable too. Sorry but not sorry for the review.

My wife and I thought the food and service were fabulous! The waiter was on top of every detail and the food excellent! We had the Tagliatelle Bolognese and the Spaghetti Carbonara along with the warm Caprese salad.

Bludorn set the bar very high for Houston dining, Michelin recognition, flawless execution, warm hospitality, and food that earns every dollar. Bar Bludorn, unfortunately, is not there yet… and that contrast is impossible to ignore.

Let’s start with the good: the food is delicious. An honest 8/10. You can absolutely get a fantastic filet mignon here, arguably one of the best in the city. The kitchen knows what it’s doing, no question.

Now the problem: the service.

For a restaurant charging Bludorn-level prices, the hospitality was shockingly absent. Our server seemed completely disengaged, as if we were an inconvenience rather than guests. There was no warmth, no attention, no sense that anyone cared whether we were enjoying ourselves, or even planned to come back. It felt transactional at best, indifferent at worst.

Bar Bludorn positions itself as a polished, elevated dining experience, but the service told a very different story. When the hospitality misses this hard, it overshadows even good food. And in Houston, where you can get incredible steaks, thoughtful service, and better value all over the city, there’s simply no reason to settle.

Bludorn remains exceptional. Bar Bludorn, at least for now, feels like a concept still finding its footing while charging full price for the destination it wants to be. Until the service catches up to the ambition, we won’t be returning.

Went there first time for a date night. Everything was great about the place. Interiors are tasteful, cocktails are amazing, and the food is incredible.

I would also say that the service is amazing, but I felt a little over-serviced and pushed to place the order, etc. esp considering it was Halloween night and the restaurant was 1/3 full.

I absolutely enjoyed the atmosphere. This restaurant offers so much. Small and quaint but full of liveliness. The staff was fantastic and I appreciate our waitress. She was extremely informative and made solid suggestions. I have now visited all three of their locations and will return to each in the near future. I also look forward to doing a large party dinner with clients.

So we have been here a few times but it’s my first review. Service is lovely. Inside is so loud that we enjoy sitting outside instead. The steaks are amazing. My husband goes the steak route. I always try something different and this time I was a bit disappointed. The gnocchi was so mushy and the lobster was rubbery. But honestly. The steak is where it is at and I’d happily go back.

I was really looking forward to this meal Tuesday evening. I had read some reviews prior from the Chronicle. I read reviews on Google that day and they were mixed. We arrived a little before our 6:45PM reservation. The restaurant was not very busy. We were seated after a party of 5 was. We sat at our very large booth we were given. We were approached asked about drinks and given menus. My wife and decided on the Fritto Misto for and appetizer and for the Entrees we ordered Roasted Duck and the Ora King Salmon. The appetizer arrived and it was greasy and luke warm at the top. Towards the bottom it was hotter and actually was seasoned. Overall the greasy tactile of the dish and taste was sad. Fried food is usually greasy becuase the friers are not up to to temperature. It was not seasoned well. If I can go to a much lower cost restaurant and get well seasoned calalmari and shrimp does not bode well for the rest of the meal. In some of the reviews I read others had the same complaine. Our entrees arrived and they looked wonderful. The duck was cooked perfectly but once again lacked seasoning. My slamon was cooked perfectly along wiht the cocunut rice however the green curry did not enhance the dish. Iwas green puree something. It does not have to be ridiculosly hot or spicy but can have taste. It should enhance the dish when added and the only thing it really did was a lot of green color. Once again it felt like no one is tasting the food. The biggest compliant I have always had is food not being seasoned well. I like to cook so I taste everything. Consistency is key. The noise level went up when more people came in but the place was not busy enough. There were plenty of empty tables. Now they have an incredible wine selection adn beautiful bar. Whoever decides to replay please do not give the standard answer that I saw a lot of. Fix the problem. The Chefs cannot just go through the motion of preparing the food they need to taste it please.

Had dinner here and everything was just awesome. The food was seriously good — you can tell it’s made with care. Drinks were great too. But honestly, Alex made the night. Super friendly, funny, and just on top of everything without hovering. We left full and happy. Definitely coming back.
