My wife and I came here for lunch. We were warmly greeted and decided to sit at the tasting counter. My wife's chicken selection was excellent, very tender slices of chicken served over sticky rice. My selection of the mushroom preparation was just a tad overcooked. Although we did not have dessert, from the descriptions they all sounded very innovative and the tasty. We will certainly enjoy returning to the restaurant.

We celebrated New Year's Eve with a last minute dinner reservation at Barbacana, we reserved for 9 pm hoping to catch the fireworks downtown after dinner. We were surprised to learn that the reservation I made for our party of four was for the New Year's Eve party and not for dinning. My husband and I were visiting Houston over Thanksgiving weekend and looking for a place to eat that were in close proximity to a show that we were attending. Barbacana fit the bill, and we hit the jackpot! The wine list was impressive, the food was amazing and the service was impeccable! I highly recommend Barbacana for an amazing dining experience.
