I have family in this town. Knowing my ancestry I was ask to go dine here. Was my second time in Houston but first time to enjoy it properly. Barcelona was no deception. I am often critical of native food overseas. Portions, atmosphere and even (although not tried this time) occasional great surprises; wine pairing is exceptional and from peers feedback, the cocktails did not disappoint either. B (our server) and the management courteous greetings are commendable. In addition, having a Valet P next door is a plus as this area is probably quite expensive to park otherwise. So yeah. I was impressed and annotate it for future visits.

Very good atmosphere, I recommend it to drink, hang out and have a snack, we went to dinner out of urgency, convenience and proximity and we really had an excellent time. Good food, tapas and drinks.

Parking: It's leaving the key
The guys are very attentive (please tip them!)

For an experience that feels unique and so much richer than the usual, you have to try this place. The waitstaff are friendly, helpful and engaging, which is a nice contrast to the dark, almost brooding atmosphere inside. The noise level could bother some people but the 2 times I've been here it seemed very manageable to me, and I'm generally not very tolerant of noisy restaurants. A must-have cocktail is the Bourbon Spice Rack. It's not overly sweet, though to be sure you can ask them to reduce the sweetness, but the hint of cardamom in this drink is exactly perfect. Trust me on this one. They have an excellent variety of tapas ranging from the traditional tortilla de patatas, to octopus, to small pork medallians as well as some vegetarian options. My friend and I each had a cocktail and split a bottle of wine, and shared about 5 tapas, and the total came to around $60ish per person which included the tip and we did not leave hungry. For a place with a great atmosphere, excellent waitstaff, and food of this quality, $60ish per person is a serious bargain!

Vegetarian options: There are tapas available that are all-vegetable, but I would ask the waitstaff if there are any animal oils or products in the dish before ordering.

Comfy Spanish wine bar located right across from Agora (in case you want coffee after). Great food & service from our server Matthew. He was knowledgeable and really patient with us as my gf has a gluten allergy. He even took the time to highlight all the GF-free options on a menu. Definitely coming back to this spot.

The food was exceptional, with generous portions that truly impressed me. From the moment I arrived, I felt transported to Spain, thanks to the wonderful atmosphere. The service was quick and attentive, and the dishes were authentic yet had their own unique flair. This has quickly become my favorite spot to eat in Houston!

Barcelona is a place I was excited to try with friends for a Happy Hour on Labor Day. Experience quickly turned upsetting right upon entry as we were trying to walk to meet our friend already seated at a table. Not sure if the guy was a manager or not but he refused to let us pass around him to meet her not once but twice even though we were pointing to the table and verbalizing where we were going. Everyone knows you wait to be seated at any establishment.
His actions was unnecessary. We were uncomfortable after seating and it was hard to enjoy the wine and tapas. I will not be patronizing this place or refer anyone I know here.

It was fine. Tapas were all good and the drinks were great. The flan was probably the best thing, super dense, creamy, really pleasant texture

Excellent food and service. The ambiance is right up my alley. Our servers were extremely knowledgeable about wine. Despite randomly wandering in after the street market, we were treated as if we were celebrating a special occasion. The ricotta is incredible and the celeriac was a surprising favorite. Their basque cheesecake is dreamy. Highly recommend a visit to Barcelona Houston.

Had the Aparativo charcuterie board and some wine and it was excellent. I also cannot speak highly enough of our servers, Bee and Zoe were attentive and gave great recommendations that help us find wines that were perfectly suited to our tastes! Will definitely be dining here again.
