I’ve been coming to barnaby’s for years. The first time I’ve been to this location. The service was excellent, and the chicken fried steak and fresh ice tea did not disappoint! Just be aware the portions are big!

I came in with my service dog on the night of 1/8/26. While I waited for the waitress to come by and take my order, I was feeding my dog treats (dried liver). I will sometimes reward him for certain commands. One of their staff, who I’m assuming was the manager, came up and told me I could not feed my dog. It took me by complete surprise because I’ve never had a restaurant establishment deny me giving my dog treats. Rather, I have received amazing service in the past from other service industry people who would be as kind to ask if my dog wanted a bowl of water. Texas law prioritizes access for trained service animals, and restaurants cannot prohibit the dog from being fed. Mind you, my dog is the most well-behaved and never makes a peep. He is by my side and eyes are all on me every time. We came to Barnaby’s because they’re supposed to have a reputation for being dog-friendly. Not returning.
I went to barnabys the other day with my family last week and overall it was a very nice experience. I was stuck between the chicken fried chicken and the chilli cheese dog and the waiter lead me towards the chicken fried steak, and it was a great choice! The portion sizes were huge and for the price it is a very good dinner plate to be shared. The steak was crispy but the sauce was a little too seasoned, but just a tad. The service was stand out and I will definitely be coming again to try more of what they offer.

Food was amazing!! The staff was very helpful. My mom was in a wheelchair and they were very accommodating. The atmosphere was friendly and relaxed. I got the guacamole burger and fries. The meat tasted fresh and not frozen. The fries are just soooo gooood! In fact all was so good that taking pictures of our meal was completely forgotten.
